Les Miles has done a remarkable job of keeping Louisiana’s top talent at home and chalk another one up for the Tigers’ headman as the nation’s 2nd ranked defensive tackle Chris Davenport has committed to the Tigers.

Sentimore should be ours now.....LSU has 2-3 DT's with Davenports commitment

well. that sucks.

however, this also probably weakens LSU's chances of landing Jamarcus McFarland. Not that we ever had a huge chance of landing him anyways, but....I saw his AMP video on Rivals and he seems like a really smart, family-values guy. That bodes well with the type of recruit we have been getting thus far. Maybe Ol' Family Phil can push that hard.

Im not shocked, but I did think this would play out longer than it did.

While it sucks that he went to LSU, he was really a long shot anyway. Now our coaches can put more focus on guys we do have a really good shot at and maybe even pull in Sentimore now. Bonds just moved to Priority #1.

Mcfarland is TX bound....
We have to get 2 out of hicks, bonds, and sentimore
dabney and maybe some others could be a 3rd pickup

if we could land Bonds and Sentimore I will do cartwheels

Rex doesn't Sentimore have grade issues? If so, don't we need to focus more on guys that we can get in school right away versus a prep school type kid?

Take both. Getting a guy in a year or two who should be ready to make an impact on the field is never a bad thing.

Agreed. I wish Melancon would have stuck with us, but his grades didn't allow him to play at UT without a pit-stop at Juco/Prep School, so he chose LA Tech.

Hope that doesn't happen to yet another LA DT who could sign with us (Sentimore).

at this point we may oversign because some kids will spend a year in a prep school. how many DT's start as freshman anyway?
