One thing Josh Heupel has shown himself really adept at, over and over again these past four years, is patterning the game plan and the play selections around what his players are capable of achieveing.

And Josh knows Gaston Moore almost better than his own children.

So between a kick-ass defense, a superb running game, and a QB that Josh can almost play like he's holding nintendo controls, I think we're gonna be fine if Nico has to sit this one out.

Go Vols!

Moore is nowhere near as capable as Nico, hence why he's the backup.

ZERO chance with Moore to beat GA.

* I guess that one pass INT was JH holding the Nintendo controls...

I think he will be playing. Just a gut feeling but I believe Heupel when he said sitting him the rest of the game Saturday was strictly precautionary.

That being said, should he not be available, I have faith with a week to prepare him and knowing how Heupel knows Gaston Moore, that he will be well prepared for Saturday. Whether it is Nico or Gaston, don't have to win the game for Tennessee, just don't lose it.

I don't think he needs to be, Yankee.

With all the other advantages we have, Gaston only has to be a good game manager, and protect the football. He only has to hit enough passes to keep the defense spread out so the running game can eat.

Go Vols!

There’s always a chance. Gaston extended the lead while at QB vs MSU.

We need Lewis and Sampson to run hard and make critical 1st downs. Kitsleman, Staes, and Davis to block well and make critical catches.

Need Bru to keep making tough catches and we need some big plays from White and Thornton.

Defense will get after Beck. It’s the backup QB I’m worried about.

Not a whole lot of chance of winning this game without Nico. Georgia can and will tee off on Gaston Moore.
Gaston isn’t the dual threat that Nico is.
But he looks a tad more comfortable in the passing aspect- just throwing it deep.

Nico is improving as the year goes on.

But I honestly think we beat Arkansas if Moore plays. We just had nothing offensively. And what good is being 6’6 if you’re paralyzed from over analyzing at QB. Now Nico is rounding into form if he could just stay healthy….
