Chris Fallica says Nico will not play this weekend.

Moore is nowhere near as capable as Nico, hence why he's the backup.

ZERO chance with Moore to beat GA.

* I guess that one pass INT was JH holding the Nintendo controls...
Moore is the backup because of the upside of Nico. We’ve not necessarily seen that upside yet. Nico has been mediocre at best. I don’t think it’s that huge of a downgrade if Moore is the starter. Nico has thrown pics to….

Here is my take FWIW......Nico will NOT play. Sports Illustrated and others have strongly suggested it is a concussion. May not even travel with team (although I think he does go on trip). They simply will not risk their "franchise" qb for his long-term future even if his concussion was marginal or mild.....his parents and his agent simply will not want to risk his future - and I cannot argue against that view. Look at the long term picture.

It is sad because Georgia is possibly"gettable" in Athens for the first time in years and years. And if Banks chooses NOT to use a 3 man defensive line like he did against MSU -and our immature linebackers make the wrong choice about every 3 runs up middle with no safeties behind them so you get several big chunk plays on runs up middle. Personally I'd play tons of tight "man defense" in secondary and put 5 on the line and force CBeck to beat me with his arm. Georgia's O Line is more suspect than it has been for years (yes, its still very good) but I'd test his arm and hope my D Line can bother him and force him into poor accuracy. He is not great with his feet in my opinion and gets anxious if pocket shrinks. If I was CJH, I'd announce on Fri that Nico wont play, and hope Georgia loses some o their focus because they already think they will win in a blowout - and maybe roll Gaston out and use run/pass option to give us a chance. We all know that when the Bulldogs focus, they are almost unbeatable especially at home and in fact very much a blowout risk.
And make no mistake......IF they blow us out even in Athens, and even without Nico, there is NO WAY the playoff committee nudges us into the playoffs. They are looking for any excuse NOT to have 5 SEC teams in, and would LOVE not to even place 4 SEC teams in.

Why all the conflicting reports did the guy practice or not?
All that matters is that you shouldn't believe anything Heupel says regarding Nico (or any other player for that matter) when it comes to injuries. It doesn't benefit him or his team to divulge that Nico isn't playing if there is even a slight chance he potentially could. There was no evident injury that would make it obvious that he won't play, so Heup is going to make everyone believe that he will to keep any sort of competitive advantage that revealing the starter might give the opponent.

I'd lean closer to believing Fallica (whose opinion you poo-pooed) and Austin Price. They don't have anything invested in misleading the public on the matter. Nico may still end up playing, but right now UGA has to prepare both as if he were and as if he weren't.

Not that I think he knows more than our board insiders. But interesting take which could have some merit from Bear.

Also, I think we win with Nico on Saturday finally.. but another thought that I heard mentioned- if vols lose with Nico they are out of the playoffs… if they lose without Nico we still have hope with the committee if we keep it reasonable .

A lot of what ifs there- just curious what Volnation thinks on these. Too long until Saturday.

Never considered that.

Hopefully he plays and we win.

He absolutely said he didnt practice today. Their might’ve been another vid the 2 min drill that cleared that up, but in the video I linked he specifically said he didn’t go today, and if he doesn’t practice Wednesday he’s leaning him not playing.
That’s not what he said. He said “if” he’s not practicing right now.

Fallica, along with a lot of people in sports media, are Vegas’s voice. They can and do use those folks to push the public betting in specific directions. It’s not misleading, it’s influencing.

Price didn’t say he didn’t practice in that video.

He said If he doesn’t practice right now as we’re speaking. You need to watch the video again. Pete Thamel just tweeted out he practiced today.

He practiced today. That’s all that matters.
