He has contacted him, but hasn't had time to go to Memphis for a face-to-face which he said he will do exactly that after the Final Four. I don't see what he's upset about.

Martin was introduced as Tennessee's coach on Monday. Although he spoke briefly with Jones by phone after his hiring, Jones said Martin didn't plan to meet with him in Memphis until after the Final Four.

That's what it sounds like. The man is busy, just started a new job so he's trying to put a staff together.

Timeline:

March 27th - Coach Martin hired.

March 28th - Coach Martin contacts Jones briefly, says he will schedule a visit after April 4th (The Final Four)

March 30th through April 1st - Jones has trouble getting in contact with anyone.

April 2nd - Jones decommits.

How is this Martins first big mistake ? Its been known for over a week that Martin said he would be face to face with these 2.I think these 2 kids are wanting people to beg them.Its all about attention and if they want out then so be it.But this isnt a mistake by Martin.

Well, from the other side, you could see where a coaching change would be causing some serious anxiety for the kid. He may be overreacting, but this isn't really a situation to be casual about.

One is going solely on the words of hometown prospect Ware and the other is going based on hometown coach Martin. Just the nature of the beast.

Both of these kids sound like trouble and the whinning is growing old. Release them both and move on. Coach Pearl brought in players with talent, but not a whole lot of character. We shouldn't blame CCM if neither of these prima donnas wear orange, let him bring in his players. I'm not sure any of Pearl's players will be able to play the type of defense CCM will demand. After the run of guns and drugs and elite eights we went through with CBP I for one will embrace more accountability and structure out of our basketball program. CCM is exactly what the Doctor ordered as was CDD when he was hired.

First big mistake,lmfao!!! This charming young man has been in three different high schools during his senior season. CCM is trying to hire his staff, told him he would see him next week. Kid thinks he is more important to UT and the Coach than putting together a solid staff.
