I remember when Pelphrey was considered an up and coming coach. Guess he proved that to be completely inaccurate. Can't believe the Hogs have kept him this long.

I think this current recruiting class is about to save his bacon. These people believe he has recruited the fab 5.
It's a good class. However, keeping an incompetent coach because of one group of recruits is the height of insanity.

What is it that makes him such a bad coach. I know nothing about his system, but he can recruit apparently, he played for a great coach so what's missing?

Can he not manage/motivate his players, terrible X's and O's etc?

On the outside looking in it seems he has the pedigree to be successful.

His teams are disorganized and undisciplined. Other than recruiting to the level Arkansas should be able to recuit to with a trained basset hound in charge, he's done nothing in his career to indicate he has any business coaching in the SEC.

It is a solid class, especially for Pelphrey, and that shocks me.

I wouldn't remotely consider keeping the guy, but he has bought himself some time if that group stays with him.

I am astonished a coach (which I am discovering seems to be a lot of coaches) would allow this to be his downfall.

Everything I read from Bob Hurley to Hubie Brown, Jay Wright, Huggins etc one of the first things they all stress is organization and discipline.
