Chris Jones Tearing It Up in AAU

I have no way to provide you a link of the post game interview. I attended the Bruce Pearl post game show and heard him make the statement and even ask the crowd if they didn't agree that he had earned a scholarship. If you don't want to accept that, that's fine and you can say no offer was extended. Perhaps he was just joking.

You keep saying Mcbee earned a scholarship. But my question is when did Pearl offer him a scholarship?

We apparently are playing a semantics game. If a public statement is made that he has earned a scholarship---I really don't know how else to interpret that other than an offer. Perhaps McBee will refuse that public offer. But it appears ludicrous to say no offer was made.

So you believe Mcbee would turn down a scholarship to UT to remain a walkon?

No. You're just being difficult; he's saying there was an offer made publicly by Pearl. I'm pretty sure he did say on the radio that McBee would be given a scholarship; that implies there is an offer on the table.

Not that hard to understand. However, if Selby and E-Man want to play, that offer will probably be withdrawn.

What does this question mean? Did he need to go forward and give a complete account of when he would be placed on scholarship? An offer is an offer.

Bottomline is Mcbee would be on scholarship right now if he was offered one.

Bottom line is you don't know what you are talking about. We were already in the second semester when the statement was made. The jest of the statement was he would be on scholarship next season. It really isn't that hard to understand, is it?

Only problem is he won't be in Adonis Thomas's ear as much as we'd like. Or McCaffee's(sp?) for that matter.

I do not think that having him in Adonis' ear would make much difference.

Fact is that Jones getting out of his current situation is a far better scenario for himself and Tennessee, than he staying at Melrose for another season.

Over a 4 game span, he scored 39, 49, 52, and 37 points.
These numbers come from Rob Lewis on the TOS.

I heard that Jones looks up to Selby. Especially the recruiting process.

I hope Jones and Ware don't do the same thing Selby did to us.

Ware seems like he's All Vol.
He seems to have a good connection to all the current players (via twitter)
Haven't heard much about Jones though.
What are the chances he gets eligible?

I heard some people on here say a while back that he may not even have the grade's to graduate on time next year.
