Will be interesting to track Ledlum and see how he does, no doubt he’ll have some options, although not sure how many schools have an open spot at this point. And losing Ledlum sucks because he actually had two years of eligibility remaining and no risk of leaving for the draft. Sight unseen, and it's perhaps a bit risky, but I think I'd rather take my chances of having him for 2 years than JJJ for 1 even knowing what we have in JJJ. Too much injury risk with him.
And the SEC is out of the question because of when he entered the portal, so we likely won't have to face him. UK would have had an open spot. He chose Tennessee over Indiana and St. John's. I'd probably watch Pitino, here, assuming they've got an open spot. Will be interesting to track Ledlum and see how he does, no doubt he’ll have some options, although not sure how many schools have an open spot at this point.
Grant RameyYes, it’s confirmed from Tennessee that he’s back in the portal. Strange situation that caught everyone on campus off guard.
Came in yesterday morning telling Tennessee coaches he wanted to get back in the portal. Said he wants to get back closer to home.
He’s already flown out of town. Was dealing with a knee issue and wasn’t going to play on the Italy tour in a couple weeks.
But we watched practice on Tuesday afternoon and I talked to Rick Barnes and others about what they had seen from Ledlum and what they liked about this game. So this wasn’t something they were aware of even two days ago.
Josiah-Jordan James is back on scholarship, though.

First thought that crossed my mind.I’m disappointed. I really liked the upside of Ledlum and was very excited when we got his commitment.
I have mixed emotions about it. JJJ struggles to stay healthy. If he goes through another injury plagued season, this might not be the best trade. Who knows. It’s all speculation. It just sucks. I wanted to see how Ledlum would gel.
Considering VQ saying he told coaches he wants to get closer to home that would seem like a good possibility. And the SEC is out of the question because of when he entered the portal, so we likely won't have to face him. I would’ve loved to have the option, but we are still incredibly deep even if JJJ has some health issues once again, or isn’t a 30mpg guy. Knecht, Mashack & DJ are all guys capable of playing small ball 4 in JJJ’s spot. This is basically my concerns as well. It’s a delicate subject because I don’t want people to think I’m not appreciative of what JJJ has done for this program, but he has a history of injuries and he hasn’t exactly been a consistent performer for us. I liked the 2 years with Ledlum, but hopefully in the end this turns out fine and we don’t miss his impact.

My thoughts as well. I have a good feeling about Knecht. Ledlum gave me EJ Anosike vibes. Double-double guy in a smaller league, but couldn't cut it in the SEC. I do think Ledlum is obviously better, but he is undersized. He wasn't going to average anywhere close to the 32 mpg he averaged last year at Harvard either, so his 18 ppg 8 rpg were probably going to be cut in half at best.It does suck that ledlum is leaving. At least it wasn’t Knecht tho. Also it was nice to read that Dj and Estrella are looking better than expected.
So, it's your fault...Regarding 'wanting to get back closer to home' I talked to Ledlum at youth basketball camp and mentioned that I'm a fellow New Yorker and also went to school in Mass. He asked me what I thought of Knoxville and said it was definitely different, so maybe he wasn't feeling it. Had a similar conversation with Awaka a year ago, it is an adjustment for players coming from NY.
