What did I make up?
Your serious? You really think he is coaching up NFLers?
He was on a short leash in SoCal, went to Ol' Miss and wet himself. Only reason he got a job in NOLA is because its down stream from Oxford. He is lucky to be working, has proven he is useless for the Saints, because he isn't teaching anything those NFLers hadn't heard before. And he decided he'd call his ol' buddy Lane up and get a 2nd chance in the SEC. Just living off his rep. he leached off Pete @ SoCal.
Because he is in the NFL @ New Orleans isn't a resume enhancer,.....that is what I'm typing about. He isn't coaching there, and got the job as a coaching fraternal favor. And I WASN'T aware he coached at Miami, since that is a fact,...then that seals it. He most definatley is a dirtbag. Nothing good ever comes out of Miami. Nothing outta Miami (the U) should ever be part of the UT program.
Honk Honk (clown horn)
...may have something there,...on my h.s. team we had two coaches that were INSANE,...but nobody took them seriously (until they made you run laps),...I'm just wondering how a dork like O can stand in a living room and make the sell,...he isn't a winner, he IS a drunken bull in a china shoppe....its just a fact
I must be way out of the loop, but who is Mark Jackson?
That was my first thought, but then I couldn't figure out where he fit the football staff.
Mark Jackson, the former New York Knick is coming to help in our football department? LOL
According to my source that has some very good connections, the Orgeron deal is just like Lane Kiffin's and Monte Kiffin's. I am not talking money terms, but it is a "done deal" they are just not announcing it yet. I was told it is pretty common knowledge, Kiffin has told him he will be "the assistant defensive coordinator" There is not a title for this, but it is kind of a gentlemen's agreement that he will be the guy after Monte retires, but that's a big IF Orgeron stays around. Look for the Orgeron hire to be announced as early as next weekend.
One update I wanted to give you involves former Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron, who's now the defensive line coach with the New Orleans Saints. Orgeron has been new Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin's top target as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator since the day Kiffin was hired, and that's still the plan.
But Orgeron met with the Saints' higher-ups earlier this week, and the Saints are doing their best to keep him. The Vols are prepared to offer him a pretty sweet salary, so we'll see how it all turns out.
This is good and all....but dont we need to start finding some guys to run the offense? That's the biggest problem last year... and no, we cant do a baltimore ravens in this conference
i agree, our defense was pretty staut.what 6th in the nation.all i hear is defense, defenseive coaches, that we are getting.HELLO!!!!! didnt we have the worst offense in college football? where are the big name offensive coaches? im starting to worry. we look like we might be whare we were last year. great defense! horriable offense
