Chris Low's Preseason Ballot

Ah, four wins is your thing. I was just saying I don't think you can base coaching ability on losses in a season that hasn't been played yet. Nobody saw three of our four quarterbacks being injured last year.

I was replying to a post in which you said that our record doesn't matter and that our growing pains are likely to be worse this year. Which I took to mean that you think 4-8 is in play and that it wouldn't mean that much if it happened. I would pretty strongly disagree with that. If that's not what you meant, my apologies.

Realistically, winning 6 and getting to a Bowl, ANY Bowl would be huge..There is no way to quantify what the extra workouts and time together means to a young football team.. Personally I think 8 or 9 wins is not out of the question but a Bowl is crucial for progress to occur..

C is usually quicker and painless

That's what I thought before our 2nd child and you're right - the actual birthing process is faster and painless because the mother is knocked out. However, when she comes out of the anesthesia after almost being cut in half, watch out. It takes a month to recover. Btw, why is there not a "Childbirth" forum on VN?

Yeah...C-section...because a month of cleaning my wife's staples was great.

I'm sure it stunk for her, too.

We will play six games against teams with worse talent and five of those games will be in Knoxville. I'm fully realistic about what our prospects are this year, but winning only four games would be a huge step back. Hard to sell the future if a one-man Vandy team can lose its one man (and its coach) and still beat you.

Derek Dooley never won only 4 games, therefore I do not believe this is ever a realistic outcome for Tennessee. Our basement is 5 wins. The ceiling is probably 8 wins.

I have heard more than one analyst that says a 6-6 record and a bowl game will get Jones coach of the year in the SEC. This is how little people think of our football team losing everyone on both lines.

Say it isn't so! Do you actually think we have to sneak up on Ole Miss????? :disappointed:

Ole Miss is considered a really good team this year having maybe the best/most experienced QB in the SEC.

Most people are saying they will be better than their record given they are in the west. I think that team could maybe win the SEC east and this game in in Oxford.

We have a better shot at beating BOTH Florida and Missouri at home than beating Ole Miss on the road.

Because some posters can't even handle the thought of breastfeeding in public. Can you imagine the outcry that would occur in a thread about the love canal?

care to elaborate?

Listen to his Sunday show "The Nation." It's an hour of mind numbing repetitions. John Brice makes a statement, Chris Low repeats it then rewords it and repeats it again. Brice makes another statement, Low agrees and repeats it word for word again.

He does the same exact thing with Hubbs.

Chris Low is a creation of Basilio. He was an average reporter for the Tennessean that Basilio started putting on the air, asking him his opinion. He couldn't form one then and still can't form one now.

Nevertheless, I see Georgia winning the East. jmo

I don't see UGA winning the East with a new QB. I actually think UF will be a lot better than last year, and UGA will be worse. Not sure about SC, but we should finish 3rd or 4th (assuming coaches do a better job coaching - we know they can recruit in the SEC now it's time to show they can coach - did not see it last year where we got blown out too many times, and also lost to Vandy). Only positive games last year were UGA and SCjr.
