There was no better available job than Tennessee this year. The programs that are more "upper tier" than us didn't need a coach. That said, I don't disagree with anything else you said.

I personally think Tennessee was the best out of Auburn and Arkansas but many would argue that. Neither of them felt like BJ deserved consideration. I do think they are both big jobs.

Interesting use of a word.

I wonder if he means we got lucky in that we picked a good coach despite our inability, or we were lucky that he was willing to come here?

No too sure luck had anything to do with it from either side.

I think he meant that we were lucky that Gundy, Fedora, and Strong said no and that Jones could say yes.

Next year is a joke. If he had this years team for the trip to go to Autzen next year he could go ther, and possibly win. I will judge Butch after next year.
