I really like TSR. Being out of state its awesome to be able to listen to Knoxville radio. Ainge is great if you enjoy life, Swain's funny and awesome. Hooker gets on my nerves with his backward view on most things and his whiny, nasally voice. Treece was my least favorite except for Vols Rewind.

I agree. They tend to sound too much like fanboys in the offseason, during the season I enjoy the analysis from Swain and Ainge on their respective shows.

You must not pay any attention to the real world outside since you have not noticed the complete 180 switch with the attitude,demeanor,and just downright poor behavior exhibited by MOST of the "police force".Now it is always " guilty until proven innocent" while "serve and protect" has fallen by the wayside.


P.S. before you react with the expected "guess you shouldn't have broken the law" or the fan favorite "did your girl get taken by a cop" neither are true of myself and I am law abiding citizen.:hi:

Anyone that lives in the real world knows (or has experienced) that police officers are a dichotomy of society...there are the moral individuals that follow their training and SERVE AND PROTECT as well as flawed individuals who GET THROUGH training and use their position as a means to grind their personal axes...I've experienced the former much more than the latter, but guess which one is more memorable?

Bailey would be wise to try to use it as a chance to upgrade Treece's time slot (and Hooker's if possible).

From what I gather, this is spot on with the Treece deal. Let the man deal with private issues in private. He may show back up after he takes care of personal business

Treece's show was bad. Really bad. I have a hard enough time not falling asleep between 1-3 at work, but listening to him would do the job. EA is alright during football season, but he's really immature. Jay Bay needs to get off EA's n***...Swain is the best on TSR hands down. They need to move him down to 1 to 4.

Basilio is the best in town. He can be annoying at times and is wrong about a lot of stuff. But at least he keeps you entertained. The most underrated is The Clone. The man has some talent. His impressions are hilarious. But his show only comes on once a week on Thursdays I think.

Past two mornings in a row they can't even get on the air!

To make matters worse for me, I used to listen to Swain on my way home from work but now his show ends at 5 and I'm stuck with the EA Show re-run! Sorry TSR but it's getting harder and harder to listen. If it weren't for Swain I wouldn't have any reason to tune to 1180.

I would like to see actual numbers. I don't care one way or another. I think sports talk is a joke all around. Pointless job. As far as entertainment goes, Basilio was the best here. Right now all the talk is about Lebron and World Cup bashing. It's boring and I normally end up listening to pandora. I do get a kick out if the haters though. Some of them are just so stupid it amuses me to listen to the garbage.

That's bs to fire him over that. For one it was dropped and 2 until you walk in his shoes you don't know and can't judge what he did if even true.

There aren't any numbers, they don't rate highly enough to get a number in the local Arbitron ratings.

They sell to advertisers the numbers that they say they pull on their app and website, but they don't have those independently verified.

I really love how threads get moved that actually at least mention UT or at least effect the Football program in some way...

But then this thread about a radio station is considered Football related.

Don't mean to call out the admins, love the site.. but rules should be enforced across the board, not just picked and chosen.

This station is run so poorly it should be renamed to the much more accurate 'Tennessee Sports Podcast'. The fact that JayBay is also the voice-over guy for the station makes it sound pretty bush league, IMO. Not to mention that Stokes and Durango see JayBay force himself into a show that he's supposed to be the producer for, they take suit and it ruins all the rest of the shows for the day. It's not the EA and JayBay show. Or The Swain Event with Seth Stokes. When the host asks them for their opinion, chime in. Otherwise, let them do their job, you do yours and lets see if they can produce a broadcast that doesn't sound like a frat house basement podcast.

Gotta run, I wanna see what day's EA Show is being rebroadcast...again.

All of sports talk in Knoxville is atrocious. All of it. I feel dumber after I listen to it. I learn absolutely nothing valuable about my team. The only time I hear facts is after the news has been all over the internet for days. They only know what they are fed and that is very very very little. The rest is worthless opinions, even more worthless speculation topped off with a bunch of childish banter. Its all just pointless. They are all a bunch of sycophants to the UT athletic department just trying to scratch out a living on knoxville radio. If you want to actually feel like you accomplished something by listening to the radio, get the hell away from local knoxville sports talk.

I get more out of listening to 10 minutes of espn radio or the Paul Finebaum show than a whole day of knoxville sports talk. And thats sad because those stink to high heaven.

Bill King out of Nashville (on sirius/xm) is the best I have found. He's a UT guy with a national show, so he isnt a homer and gives honest and objective commentary. And most of all he doesnt pretend to "know" anything.
