Christian Bale won't be in Justice League movie

Or they could just have him be anonymous Batman rather than Bruce Wayne Batman. Wouldn't matter that much that his face changes if he's only ever in the mask.

Well, that sucks. I'm starting to lose confidence that the Justice League movie will be watchable.

I think it has to be a Bruce Wayne "Batman" although I could do without another origin story. I think most people roughly know how he decided to be Batman unless they do a short version similar to the original 1989 Batman film.

I wouldn't be surprised if they rebooted the franchise to tie it into a Man of Steel/Justice League universe as long as they kept the rough, gritty Nolan-esq type feel. I would like to see them play up his detective skills something that the "Dark Knight" trilogy didn't touch on.

They could still write it into the "Dark Knight" universe that he couldn't stay away from not being "Batman" and comes back even if they change actors. Ever 5 or 6 years James Bond comes back and its a different actor but its still 007 if its a good actor (who takes the roll seriously) I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I think every recent marvel movie has been done with the possibility of an Avengers tie in.

The Nolan batman flicks have really been written in a pretty stand alone manner.

I wish DC had had that kind of forethought. The Green Lantern movie was entertaining, but pretty weak on developing the character and his motivation(s). I would have like to seen it written a little more adult themed (TDK, TDKR, XO: Wolverine, and Capt. America). I've never been a huge Superman fan and Wonder Woman, as a character, is just not entertaining at all. I was hoping Batman would save this movie. But if they use some guy named John Blake (Joseph Gordon Levitt), I will have trouble liking it.


But, I'm a dick and hard to please.

The Nolan Batman trilogy was pretty much a stand alone series and obviously was thought out before the thought of a JL movie came up. The Avengers theme was planned from the first Iron-Man movie, so it's been a concentrated effort. The timing sucks but unless they have JGL take on the Batman role, there's really no way to tie in the Nolan Batman movies.

Chances are they probably try to tie in Man of Steel, and then use the JL movie to start the reboot of the Batman character.

JGL was going to be Night Wing, who could be used instead of Batman in a Justice League movie. Just have Batman busy with other things, so Night Wing is there in his place.

I like Nightwing, but that is weak. Use Azrael, be awesome, collect cash, checklist complete.

That would be a bad idea. As much as I enjoyed Christian Bale in the role, the Batman character is infinitely more important than any actor that plays him.

General audience to Azrael Batman would be "Who?"

Not to mention, as popular as the Knightfall story line was (already partially adapted in DKR), Knight Quest,which featured the Azrael Batman, was awful.

This. I'd say at least 70% of general audience couldn't tell you who the Azrael Batman was, just us comic nerds.

Batman was officially done in TDKR. Moved to another country and everything. That's why it would be a perfect transition to have Joseph Gordon Levitt come take over in his place. Especially considering it hinted at that at the end of TDKR.
