Christian Bale won't be in Justice League movie

He could nail the role. It may even be the highest grossing opening weekend ever!

Could very well be. However, unless I am mistaken Warner/DC has JL slated for the same summer as Avengers 2.

With no script or plan in place at this point they should really push that back a year or to the 2015 Holiday line up. It will not fair well in a summer where it will be compared to a theatrical juggernaut already.

Especially with all those rolling blackouts in California.

Aquaman movie a must before Justice League....IMO
If DC/Warner is going the route of the New 52 DC Comics which I suspect they are given the subtle tweaks to the Superman costume in Man of Steel then Aquaman will be pretty cool. While I haven't read it myself everything I have seen says its currently one of the top DC books in the New 52

This is a week old but I just came across it.

‘Man Of Steel 2′ – Everything We Know About The Upcoming Sequel

A ‘Man of Steel 2′ was never in doubt. Warner Bros. hopes Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot serves the same purpose as Jon Favreau’s ‘Iron Man,’ introducing movie-going audiences to a familiar hero while laying the groundwork for a larger comic-book universe to unfold on screen.

So now that Snyder’s ‘Man of Steel’ has opened in theaters, collecting an estimated $125 million in its debut weekend, we can turn our attention to the next step in Warner’s burgeoning D.C. Comics plan. Instead of ‘Justice League‘ or a Batman-Superman team up, it sounds like we’re going to get a second standalone ‘Man of Steel’ film to further flesh out this new world.

Here’s what we know so far about ‘Man of Steel 2.’

He is right as they really want a second "Superman" film first. I still don't see a "Man of Steel" sequel getting in theaters before 2015 despite that they want by late next year. Unless they filmed a lot of stuff that didn't make into Man of Steel that could re-purposed in a sequel.

I think it would be great if Warner Bros./DC would get to work on another film where it be "Wonder Woman", "Flash" or a "Green Lantern" reboot. to come out in late 2014 and then two in 2015 one in the Spring (MOS Sequel?) and one in the fall of 2015 to set up a "JL" for Summer of 2016.

They could possibly do the "Batman" reboot for a Spring (May, 2016) release and then "Justice League" for 4th of July weekend 2016 release but that would put who ever they get to play "Batman" filming two films in a span of 6 to 8 months.

Bale was the best movie batman we've had. But that's not really hard to do considering the competition.

Adam West batman will forever be a God among men.

I like Bale as an actor, absolutely hate him as Batman. Hopefully he'll back to roles like American Psycho and The Machinist.

I think you're all crazy. Bale was a terrific Batman.

I agree they overdid it with the "Batman voice" in the 2nd and 3rd movies, but it was a small price to pay IMO

I'm not sure this is surprising; I could have sworn he had already said he was done with the role

I keep running across different articles saying that Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger) could be the front runner to take over as the next "Batman"!

Hammer has been cast in the upcoming big screen take on the 60's TV show The Man from U.N.C.L.E. which by the way happens to also star Henry Cavill (Man of Steel)

I keep seeing things like U.N.C.L.E. will be a test on how well they work together and what kind of chemistry they have on screen together for a future Justice League film.

I want Nolan's batman to be the batman of Justice League. However, using Bale would be stupid because of how TDKR ended. You gotta go with Joseph Gordon Levitt. Keep the storyline going.

Exactly.

It's perfectly set up for the transition considering how TDKR ended.
