Church Arson/Vandalism

For people that actually think that abortion is genocide, how is that you aren't devoting every waking moment of your lives to stopping this? Maybe that's asking too much, but what about 10% of your free time? Seems like if people actually believed it's literal genocide, they'd do a little bit more about it.
I am not on the genocide side of the argument but murder/killing.

I used to work with my church on these volunteer efforts. The Catholic Church offers a number of services. One is supporting women who keep which is good all around. some is trying to talk women out of getting abortions. This is dependent on voluntary involvement from her part, and tends to be more counseling than I what I am qualified to do. The last is the most overt. Going to clinics and just being there with signage, offering to pray for women/children. It was made clear we are there to offer support, not to condemn.

It wasnt getting yelled at or having water thrown in my face. It was the women who were jaded to what they were doing. I can emphasize with a woman going thru actual crisis and not knowing how to deal with it and thinking her only choice was abortion. Thats why we were there. There is some type of logic there. It was the women who didnt give a crap. It was them saying yes this is third I will have killed. Asking if we want to see pictures of the after effects. The ones who could admit to what they were doing without pause. The ones going in a with a child in tow.

It shocked me to my core, and had me look at the numbers. At the time it was something like 40% of women who have abortions have multiple. Even women who are still moms/raising a child will have multiple.

It hurts me in my soul. I have a cousin struggle to successfully carry her child thru pregnancy and what it did to her and meant to our family when they succeeded. I had some professors go thru issues as well. But to have the opposite flung in my face shook me.

I prayed long and hard about it. It depresses me what those women do. So I no longer directly volunteer. I still give money and logistical support where I can. But I cant be on the front line while maintaining empathy and not turning to hate. I have someone I know quiet well who had an abortion. Didnt bother her at all. All I can think is how sorry I am for her and her loss. And I cant determine if I want her to never know what she lost, or if I want her to realize the depth of what she had done.

There are not different "types" of Christianity, sorry. Many different religions, but only one Gospel.

Of course there are different types of Christianity. Catholic or Orthodox. Catholic or Protestant. Eucharistic or Evangelical. Christianity is one religion, not many. Read a book.

So yes it's about procreation.

And not really a eugenicist. On the one hand one major reason I am not screwing anyone I am related to is because of the possible genetic outcomes, which could be a eugenics argument.

But on the other I dont believe in pairing parents solely based on the genetics of the pair. But i think on a Marco scale human kind should be interested in the overall genetic make up of itself. But purely on a health based observation. Not to the point of aborting anyone imperfect but more as something to work towards and never achieved.

But you should look into Seyer/Sawyer I forget her name. She pushed abortion strictly as a means of racial eugenics. And that's why she founded Planned Parenthood. And with the current rejection of our founding fathers for being slave owners I would think PP/abortions would be equally tainted with the ties to blatant racism it has.

Margaret Sanger. Planned Parenthood no longer sees abortion in conjunction with eugenics. In fact, nobody else does, either.

China Orders Christians to Take Down Images of Jesus from Their Homes

China-removes-church-crosses-AP-Photo-640x480.jpg

Chinese communist authorities have ordered poor Christian villagers to remove Christian images from their homes and replace them with portraits of Chairman Mao and President Xi Jinping or risk losing their welfare benefits.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has continued its program of “Sinicization” of religion by channeling religious fervor in the country toward the Party rather than God, the Christian Post reported this weekend.

In May, an official in the eastern province of Shandong raided the home of a local Christian and hung pictures of Mao Zedong and Xi Jinping on the wall in place of Christian images.

“These are the greatest gods. If you want to worship somebody, they are the ones,” the official told them.

Just like no one saw the FF monuments with racism. The facts didnt change. Just people's perspectives on it.

And based on the cops vs blacks arguments PP vs blacks looks far worse.

You can drop the Sanger message but the actions are still there.

So where does your singular version come from? You are either 2000 yrs old or talk to the big man himself

The septuagist is the one Jesus used in his teachings. There is also the masoretic. This is due to Jews being unable to speak Hebrew and the original LXX being unreadable to them.

But....and here is a big but.....

The new testament was Greek and is still Greek and while it has been modified slightly it is the OT that has been modified over the years mostly.

The Dead Sea scrolls dis match up to the septuagist though which did help.

The main thing is Jesus outlines what sin is pretty well in his teachings. He was also not this laid back snowflake guy as many like to lead people to believe. The book of Thomas which isn't cannon but should be shows this.

What were you implying. I already think you are dead wrong, but I want to hear it from you.

Read my post again...s-l-o-w-l-y, be sure to mind the punctuation. Oh hell, Types of churches are NOT types of Christanity. They are man made "religions"...you are welcome.

Think he means all religion is man made.

You got a Baptist and a church of christ follower standing next to each other.

Both will call themselves Christians but the CofC believer will state the Baptist isn't going to heaven unless he has been baptized and the Baptist will state the CofC person may not be saved because he doesnt believe it is faith in Christ alone.

Just my example and I am not getting into the weeds on if either is correct or wrong or does it even matter. That is way to complex a debate to get into here about works without faith and faith without works.

I do believe when u get saved there is a heart transformation that will manifest itself in works naturally through faith.

I knew you had no idea what you were talking about. Christianity is ONE RELIGION. Different churches or denominations fall under the Christian religion. They are not separate religions.

There was no Christianity while Jesus was here. He was Jewish. Christianity grew out of the work of the disciples and apostles. Eventually, Christianity separated itself from Judaism. You need to read more before you try to speak.
