Church or Jail

I am an avid supporter of creating a national church and throwing people in jail who don't attend on Sundays.
 
You only have so many churches. The program doesn't say you have to have a report from God himself on your spiritual development. Rather, that you must attend. I see it as no different than the court ordering you to enroll in anger managment, rehab, so on so forth.

Go to jail or go to church?

Can't really be viewed as much of a choice, can it?

How about attend a reform program premised on humanistic ideals or go to jail... is that constitutional?

FWIW, this does appear to be an overstep. It might have survived if there were a non-religious alternative... but I doubt this stands.

That's kind of where I was heading...

You state it in an interesting way though.
 
As long as this remains completely optional, I'm cool with it. Any reason to avoid opening another jail is just fine.
