If you want to grip about whether its a good idea, whether it would work.....fine. Just because the ACLU screams "unconstitutional" it doesn't mean its the "gospel".
There is that Sunday part I was talking about. What about the religions that don't meet on Sundays?
What if someone went to Midnight Mass at some point when Christmas fell in the middle of the week? Would that count? Are Seventh-Day Adventist churches not allowed to be a part of this? Can they not attend Shabbat services on Friday evenings?
How it is applied or carried out could be a problem, I never said it was a good idea. But that also has nothing to do with having the choice to turn it down for the other 2 options.
That's where the problem will be. If they don't allow people to go to mosques, synagogues, etc. then it can certainly be looked at as promoting a particular religion, and that would probably screw the idea in court. I find it hard not to be on the ACLU's side on this one, it will probably force this particular court to revise this into something a bit more fair.
no different than makinga person with a dui go to aa though.
He's somewhat correct. Most AA stuff has Christ involved.
I would agree if you did not have the choice to opt out on the front end.
I personally don't see it as a good idea anyway.
wtf

Article said:Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Gingrich told host David Gregory that he continues to advocate for a plan he first called for in the early 1990s as a Congressman, which requires every uninsured citizen to purchase or acquire health insurance.
Gregory played a clip of Gingrich speaking during an appearance on Meet the Press in October 1993:
“I am for people, individuals -- exactly like automobile insurance -- individuals having health insurance and being required to have health insurance. And I am prepared to vote for a voucher system which will give individuals, on a sliding scale, a government subsidy so we insure that everyone as individuals have health insurance.”
wtf
Gingrich Backs Obamacare's Individual Mandate Requiring Health Insurance
And then you also have Romney who obviously supported it.
