*****CLASS of 2018 SIGNEES AND COMMITS (Early Signing Period, DEC)

I respect Mays decision and certainly he has the right to pick whatever school he wants. However, don't come 'round here with that "I'm a huge Tennessee fan" bs if you are signing with the Dogs who already have multiple 5*'s. You either want to help raise the Tennessee program up and be remembered or you are against us.

...and to U all, also. Good luck in the playoffs. I am rooting for Bama to win it all and that's saying something. The last time I rooted for Bama was the '91 Sugar Bowl (maybe it was #92) against Miami. That play were Teague ran down that WR and stripped him of the ball and had that amazing return was one of the best plays I've ever seen in a college football game. Of course, the only reason I'm rooting for Bama is that a kinda like your DC

:toast: Thanks. Yeah, you get it. It's better for all parties concerned for CJP to do a good job for UA on his way out. This time, a Bama Natty would actually benefit UT considerably. Yes sir, Teague's play vs Miami is one of my all time favorites too!

Good luck in recruiting, except with guys we want of course ( like JJ Peterson). I'm cool with y'all getting DWA. He's got great talent and I'd love to have him. But he's only got two years to play and we're in pretty good shape at TE. So it makes sense that he chose UT. He should make a much needed big impact for y'all.

Get a room. The Teague play didn't even count due to an offsides penalty.

Complete betrayal by Mays.

Knew we weren't going to get him at this point but how in the world do you grow up a huge fan of TN where Dad played and fans love you and you turn your back on them because they had a bad season.
New staff hired and telling you how much they need you.

Not only do you turn your back on them, you go to a hated rival.

Punk move IMO

He will regret it when he's on the bench in Georgia.

"One thing that I've figured out in recruiting is you worry about the ones that you get, you don't worry about the ones you don't."
~ Jeremy Pruitt, head football coach for the University of Tennessee Volunteers

...

As I told each of my children when they became college age, "You may attend any school you like that best fits your chosen career path and I will supplement you with a meritorious stipend based on academic achievement, so long as that school is the university of Tennessee."

Certainly these local kids with SEC caliber athletic talent have the right to choose any school they like. And we certainly can reserve the right to ostracize them if that school happens not to be the university of Tennessee.

SSSSWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT...wow, nice haul of need...makes thirteen I believe...and

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very impressed with what Coach Pruitt and his staff was able to do in such a short time. We got a couple nice pieces early. I hope the trend continues in February. We are in the running for some good players who waited to sign until then. :hi:

Freak, will you be updating the OP?

I was wondering the same thing. Freak must be taking a siesta. :)

I'm actually wondering what happened to the 2017/2018/2019 recruiting threads that had a link to each player we're recruiting and their status (signed, committed, etc...). I found those to be very useful.

Personally cant wait for Vols to burn mays for sacks. So much so he gets benched. His right! His life! But like what has been said. "YOU'RE EITHER FOR US! OR YOU'RE AGAINST US!" and mays is against us.He just another piece of DAWG SH#t

So we finish this thing up with:

1. Peterson, LB
2. Copeland, WR
3. Griffin, CB
4. Walker, LB
5. Miller, DE
6. Valentin, OG
7. Becton, DL
8. Flemister, RB/CB
9. Beal, TE/OLB
10. Hall, S
11. Smith, CB

That makes for an impressive haul, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Is this an educated guess or wish list?
