I've said my piece... Rick gets the start, but it would be foolish to abandon Ainge.

We all know the talent Ainge has. We saw it last season. He just needs to be coached up better, the O-line needs to hold better so he can plant his feet and wait a second. When Ainge gets that, he can plant his feet and deliver the accurate deep ball or that infamous zip pass that takes the length of the bat of an eye to get to the receiver.

Now, go with Clausen. Obviously. He's earned it. But it seems like many want to give up on Ainge already.

Ainge does have more talent than rick!! no question! But rick has the same offensive line and the same coach. So that leaves a big question. Now i understand he is inexperenced player but im really begining to wonder about this suppose to be great qb! you cant blame the o- line rick is also behind that line!

Ainge was planted on several of those throws. I agree with what you are saying and he did defintely struggle the most when rolling to his left but he also made some really bad throws when he was set.

No question. I really don't think anyone here is giving up on him. Clausen is just more consistent based on what we saw in the first game. It might be the opposite next game.

Thats my guess. He just needs this time off and maybe to sit early at UF and build his rhythm for the offense. I seen some pressure, But nothing to warrant a hurry up and just dump the ball off.

We are not giving up on Ainge. He just need to stop reading how great he is. What he did last was just that !!!! LAST YEAR. Maybe if our coaches stop giving things to people and make them earn them we will be alright. Clausen beat him out in spring and fall and did a better job Saturday. I am all for Clausen until Ainge get his head out of his rear end and stop letting people pat him on the back and give him things. IF Crompton is the real deal. He will be leading us to back to back Championships.

Im more scared of Ainge then I am of Clausen. Rick just seems to be a leader that his teammates like. Ainge seems to be the tallented, young, new guy that has yet to earn the true admiration of his teammates. I think Ainge is the more tallented QB, Clausen is the smarter one. But then again, I really dont know thaaaaat much about UT. :)

Ainge is a risk/reward type situation because he actually passes it deep. He may burn you for a bunch of yards, but you also have a better chance of getting a turnover or 3 and out.
