Read his book "On Rocky Top". It will give you insight on his opinion on Arian, and it's a pretty darn good read.

Clay Travis book...even if it's a good read that money goes into his Franklin Fund!

I can see Eric being higher. Arian is a stretch IMO. Then again, Wilson played at UT almost 15 year ago so that may have something to do with it

This is ridiculous. Arian didn't even achieve half of his potential at UT. Eric Berry was a legend while he was here.

Clay is like most people. Often wrong but doesn't ever think so. Does this make him arrogant? Yes, but normal.

Arian Foster wouldn't be in 99.9% of any Vol fan's top 10, 15, 20, 30 or 50 for that matter.

Eric Berry would be in top 5 of most fans. At least I would think.

No way that either is as beloved as Al Wilson!!! No way!

A general top 5 of a typical UT fan would be: (in no particular order)

Manning
Reggie White
Johnny Majors
Al Wilson
Eric Berry

Insert or swap out some names but Foster would not ever be in this discussion.

Jack (hacksaw) Reynolds was obviously before your time.

Willie Gault, Carl Pickens ... the list goes on and on. Too many people only think of the present or recent past.

Suffice it to say....a top 5 would be absolutely impossible to agree on...top 50? yeah maybe....just too many down thru the years that had an incredible impact on the Vol program...BUT....I would fear NO contradict from any cleared head Vol that A. Foster WOULD NOT be in the top 10...not for a seasoned Vol fan...top 25-30? Maybe....

Al Wilson is my favorite. I could see someone saying Eric Berry or Peyton, but Foster? No way.

Eric Berry? Maybe but a stretch. Arian? No freakin' way and it's not because I didn't like him when he was a Vol. There were 3 reasons why the Vols won the championship in '98 and Big Al Wilson from JACKSON TN was one of them. Period.
