They had a timeout in the backpocket, had less than a foot to get a first down.... Only takes 2-3 seconds to get a first down and go down..... you have the timeout plus clock stops on the whistle for the first down. So there is zero fear of the clock running out. At that point, you are picking between a 55 yard field goal or a hail mary.....

At the very minimum, you are making sure you end regulation with the ball in your hands, not Georgia's.
