And the blitz and formation yall are claiming is set to stop the run is occuring against a blatant drop back pass play with the line showing obvious pass protection....
Doesn't change the fact that GT snowflaked out on the playcall to pass the ball on 4th and inches..... Calling a run there obviously means the line isn't going to drop back in pass protection.
I am not saying they should have run King out of that formation. I'm saying they should have lined up and ran the ball in their best run playcall they had.
That's the difference.
They had a timeout in the backpocket, had less than a foot to get a first down.... Only takes 2-3 seconds to get a first down and go down..... you have the timeout plus clock stops on the whistle for the first down. So there is zero fear of the clock running out. At that point, you are picking between a 55 yard field goal or a hail mary.....To get a first down and burn 3-4 seconds to set up a Hail Mary versus throw for a chunk and try a game winning fg?
