1 less than Oklahoma State.

Wow. Says a lot about the Big (small) 12
So, our little brother hasn't put much more into the NFL than your little brother. Don't expect me to defend them as ferociously as you have.

You want to compare Tennessee and Oklahoma next?

OU - 39
UT - 35

Wow. Thatā€™s a big discrepancy.

Your hospitality is so overwhelming that I couldn't do anything but stay through 2024.
Iā€™m famous for it. Your home crowd in Norman is genuinely hospitable and Iā€™m looking forward to the game. Now I know not to bring up the hot button issue of transferring to Vandy. šŸ˜

So, we seem to be close to equal in putting talent into the NFL. Far more than both Vanderbilt and OSU.

You still want to defend Vanderbilt as a good landing spot for this QB to help increase his chances of getting into the NFL or are there probably better teams for him to consider?

Your crowd was downright great in Knoxville. Way better than Georgia fans were at the Rose Bowl if we are to compare conference teams.

Just make sure you don't mention UT regardless of how much it means Tennessee to you. We Sooners have a far different definition of UT than you folks do out east.

In a post, I stated there were many ā€œbetter optionsā€

I also said......start early, great academics, great city, and great connections. Never one time did I say Vandy was his best path to the NFL.

Would we want Clemsonā€™s third-string QB? (I have no idea if heā€™s the second coming of Peyton and cruelly overlooked.)

Seems like we should be setting our sights higher.

Iā€™m fine with him going to Vandi. Good luck to him, wherever he goes.

Ever seen him play??

I live in the DFW area so that dynamic hasnā€™t escaped my attention. šŸ˜‰

My point is there are better options if he's that good, so I'm not sure why you're arguing or defending Vanderbilt. The guy has a Parks and Recs Management degree, so I'm pretty sure academics are not his primary motive for transferring.

Again, if this guy is good enough to be the backup for Trevor Lawrence and has gone to a school that's been producing good QB options for the draft (they have three they've developed) there are better landing spots than a Vanderbilt. He can be as great as he wants there, but what kind of supporting cast is he going to have? If you want to make the Okie State comparison, at least Mason Rudolph had Washington to throw to and Weeden had Blackmon.

Does Vanderbilt have any decent receivers that are NFL caliber? A decent Offensive line that can protect him? Decent RB that can help take the strain off getting beat up by those vaunted SEC defenses?

Why are you here to troll about a qb no one has ever heard of? Never understood how some people have that much time on their hands for such idiotic schemes

How have you never heard of Chase Brice. He got playing time for Clemson when Bryant was down. Then Trevor came in the next year. Guy is a baller. Just not going to see the field at Clemson.

Most never heard of him before he relieved an injured Trevor Lawrence and won the game against Syracuse last season.

Nope, which I sort of indicated.

I donā€™t watch Clemson sports as a rule. Iā€™m up to the neck in Clemson fans around here, although we can at least unify against USCe.

Has anyone mentioned Miss St. as a good landing spot for Brice? Leachā€™s Offense and an SEC school. Just a thought. Worked out well for the mustached Jaguar.

Been mentioned. KJ Costello already GTā€™d there. Maybe he beats him out...maybe he doesnā€™t want to ā€œmaybeā€.

Miss State has a good QB on roster, and an even better one that they benched for this one. Not a lock for Costello. The QB that got benched by Moorhead is probably the type to be in Leach's wheelhouse.

Thought it was practically done.

I meant not a lock for him getting the starting nod. Thompson will be a senior I think. The starter this year left a lot to be desired. Don't know why Moorhead didn't roll with Thompson. He looked great on all his appearances under Cousin Ed.
