Clemson/Syracuse

27-21 Clemson. Final.

That pretty much gives them the Atlantic Division. The only ACC games left are Miami (3-3) and Louisville (3-3).

They’d have to lose BOTH for any of the other teams (in this case, Wake Forest or Syracuse) to win the division.

Edit: For reference, Miami is currently losing 45-21 to Duke.

Imagine Cuse or NCSU being your best home game all year? What a terrible way to spend a Saturday. I tried it while in grad school there; I made it 1 game and then started driving over the mountains to Knoxville every weekend. My roommates couldn’t understand why.

Whoever plays Syracuse in the Orange Bowl whether it's Ole Miss or Alabama will have their hands full.

A Cuse win would have helped us a lot. Not to be.

Clemson has been the new FSU in that it's been dominating a bad conference for years. I never bought into the idea that Bobby Bowden
was a great coach because he beat up on duke, uva and nc state for 20 years.

Maybe North Carolina can beat Clemson in the ACC title game--if the Heels get there. Otherwise, clemson is likely to go undefeated and will get a playoff spot, as will the osu-michigan winner. That would leave 2 spots. UCLA losing today will help and probably assure that the SEC claims the other 2 playoff spots--but there will likely be 3 SEC teams in contention for them.

TCU will also figure into the playoff picture--certainly if they go undefeated--but I think they're going to get beat before long.
