It is hopeless. We are a huge part of the problem, but consider the rest of the world. It is the +2 billion people in China and India approaching the same standard of living as us that will dramatically alter everything. Without a concerted effort of renewable power, electric vehicles, advanced AI, and conservation/recycling, we are toast sooner rather than later. Throw climate change in the mix and we may very well be at the apex of civilization. Hopefully Elon can get Starship going quickly so we have a fall back when **** hits the fan on Earth. As much as technology can help us, I don't think it will save us. It is too late. We Millennials get to watch the world burn. The liberal-republic culture is already breaking down, we are hurtling toward oligarchic autocracy as can be seen with the rise of Trump and his type around the world. I used to be hopeful.
Anthropomorphic climate change is not bunk.Man made climate change is bunk.
No effort is being made anywhere on a survival plan. That’s because you cannot control the masses with that kinda of activity. But effectively changing the way people live....now that’s a good way for those in power to stay in power.
There are answers like hemp plastics but until that becomes widely available it won’t take off in places like China and India.
The thinking there is too short sited. We’re on a football forum so to put it in our terms....
India is trying to run plays and not lose yards.
China is trying to pick up 1st downs
And we’re talking about how to win championships.
Like I said. Almost hopeless
You're such a polyana. It is hopeless. We are a huge part of the problem, but consider the rest of the world. The US isn't a huge part of the problem. The other countries are.It is hopeless. We are a huge part of the problem, but consider the rest of the world. There is NO evidence in Earth's entire geological history that #CO2 (either natural or man-made) has EVER impacted the climate of our Planet! Any study that claims a "direct effect" of human-carbon emissions on surface temp. is simply unphysical garbage based on faulty models!
Who pays the incentives?
How do we all pay? Voluntarily through incentives or with tax money?Heh. Ain't no such thing as a free lunch. We all pay for it, just like we pay to have clean water and fresh air.
97% of climate scientists agree that global warming is occurring. Maybe some naysayers think they know more than scientists. Mkay. But, to err on the side of caution makes sense to me.
I'm cool with sterilization in countries like China, India, and any country where they push babies out every 9 months. Populations in the billions is a little much. All the liberals want to stop being the world's police, we need to stop being the world's EPA.Careful with that, some Red Hats might think you are cool with abortion.
There's also scientists that call it BS.Heh. Ain't no such thing as a free lunch. We all pay for it, just like we pay to have clean water and fresh air.

When you are talking about my tax money going to an effort that won't make one damn bit of difference in the rest of the world, do nothing. We could be crystal clean here in the US and the rest of the developing world could give two sh!ts.What’s worse, the majority of climate change scientists being wrong but we act anyway, or climate change deniers being wrong and we don’t?
Maybe let more illegals come into California to help alleviate the water shortage.Heh. Ain't no such thing as a free lunch. We all pay for it, just like we pay to have clean water and fresh air.
