Bought something in a glass container vs plastic after your rant. Looked for more options but my Kroger didnt have a lot of non plastic options for a lot of the products I buy

It’s a real pain in the ass. It’s hard to find somethings in plastic that can be recycled

I'll explain it this way, if a fresh water iceberg is floating in a fresh water lake, approx 2% of the iceberg would be exposed above water as that is the difference in density between H2O in its frozen form and H2O in its liquid form. That is a generalization because there is a difference in the ice density based on freeze rate and a difference in density of the water based on temp. Liquid water doesn't change that much but it does. Ice changes density enough that it could be noticeable but the reader should get the drift. The beauty of Archimedes principal is that it is purely a density equation. The iceberg raises the lake level exactly zero inches when it thaws.

I like using plastic but when that crap gets in our Oceans like it has, it's bad. I don't think the US contributes to this problem as much as other 3rd world counties do. Our trash usually makes it to landfills for the most part.

Earth's temperature is showing an upward swing, the so-called greenhouse effect, now a subject of international concern. The greenhouse effect may melt the glaciers and ice caps of the world causing the sea to rise and flood many of our great cities and much of our best farmland.
