It's will be summer soon.. It will be hot

It will be the hottest summer we've had since 2015, just you watch!

And also, if it is a mild summer bare in mind that climate change can't be judged on warming weather. But, keep in mind that if it is warmer this summer that's definitely a sign of climate change.

"Anderegg et al (2010) identified climate experts as those who had authored at least 20 climate-related publications and chose their sample from those who had signed public statements regarding climate change."

In other words they surveyed the guys who wrote articles about climate change, and lo and behold they said they believed in climate change. Can you find anyone writing about climate change who isn't on the bandwagon?

A paper a few years ago by an MIT grad student included a plot showing CO2 and temperature vs time. It was obvious that they trended together; however it was not obvious which led and which lagged. Nor was it possible to infer causation - whether one caused the other or if both were effects of another driver such as solar energy.

I've spent years analyzing data - generally attempting to dig out vibration related to specific phenomena buried in flow noise and to correlate multiple channels of information. It's very common to find what looks like correlated responses in multiple channels and then find no correlation. It takes much more effort to know that two pieces of data are correlated.

Further, the data released for study are manipulated - "corrected". Most people doing normal statistical analysis of the same data that have been released will come up with similar results. It's not like all the researchers are gathering raw data independently; they are simply churning out similar stuff from the same pool of numbers.

Two old sayings fit this situation. Publish or perish and follow the money.

Wow, that the best you got?

Did it ever occur to you or did you notice the absence of data? Just what are the metal levels? Saying the levels could possibly effect aquatic life is pretty ****inf vauge.

Reminds me of the vast studys concerning saccharin causing cancer and omitting the amount a person had to consume for that to be an issue.

Because one cold spurt disproves the entire trend of increasing warmth. That's why politicians show snowballs as evidence against the consensus of the experts.

It's the same as the experts using an extremely short period of time (geological) as evidence of man made global warming.

Also placing sensors in places like airport ramps and claiming those readings as accurate isn't exactly genuine scientific data.

We have data much farther back than say, the last 100 years. Climate Change: Vital Signs of the Planet: Evidence

Pollution doesn't exist?
absolutely. And the third world emerging economies that have gone from 100 million people riding bicycles to driving cars in 20 years have much more to do with it than someone driving a diesel pickup. Talk to them first, we have more regulation than we need here.

Throw in more or less turbulent weather - generally more because that's more spectacular; and, of course, hurricane season - numbers, tracks, and intensities. But above all avoid any mention of El Nino as an influence.

Where's the Donald Trump option in the poll, Trump has said that "the concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive".

There's your GOP leader for you. No words can explain the lunacy of the above quote, its downright Palin-esque!

He's right about it being fabricated, it's all based on computer projections and false data. It's the biggest scam to date in order to redistribute wealth.

Bad options in the poll.

Is the climate changing? Sure, but that isn't news.
Is it catastrophic? No.
Did humans contribute to the current trend? Probably.
Did humans exclusively contribute to the current trend? Probably not.
Is it a bad idea to continue to release CO2 into the air at out current rate or toxins into waterways? Absolutely.
Should we devote resources and adopt a mindset for sustainability? Absolutely.

There is a reasonable middle ground between the insufferable screechers on either extreme.

Most western developed countries are way ahead of ya. I'd say the majority, regardless of whether they accept or reject man-made global warming agree with your statement.
That isnt the problem. Obama environmental policies are absolutely crippling certain areas of our economy

He's pretty much correct, he just left out India and some other emerging markets.

Kenneth Watt, an ecologist, predicted in 1970 that there would be no more oil in the future. Watt wasn’t the only one who thought the world’s oil was peaking— but he was wrong. In fact, today there is an oil glut, leading to cheap prices. Part of the reason for that is the boom of fracking in the United States, where oil production is now much higher than it was in the past.

Lol.

In January of 1970, Life Magazine claimed that people would have to wear gas masks in cities in ten years due to pollution, and that in 1985, air pollution would cause the world to receive only half the normal amount of sunlight. In fact, air quality is getting better, the World Health Organization says.

Awesome.
