Well we did miss a bunch of good open looks. He can't shoot them for them. He got them good shots. They need to knock them down.
He makes few if any adjustments in game. His team - the team he coaches can't crack a zone to save their lives. Why does the coach not coach the team to move a player - one player to the foul line to bust the zone??? Hmmmmm.
He obviously made some adjustments for us to come back last game. But no coach is perfect. I remember plenty of Pearl losses when he could have made obvious adjustments and we could have won. If we hit free throws and open shots we could easily only have 1 loss this year.

So I guess it is the players fault that they lost the NC State game and all other losses the Vols have suffered during CCM's tenure. I forgot that he is such a great coach that he ALMOST made the NCAA Tourn. last year. But the reason that the team didnt make it was not because of CCM, rather it was the players. Let's go ahead and give CCM a contract extension because clearly the losses this year having nothing to do with coaching..
Who said give him an extension? I'm simply saying he isn't the sole reason for losses and that he isn't the worst coach in America as some seem to think. He has won here and at MSU. I do think he should be held accountable and make the NCAA. I just think that we will unlike most who never liked him anyway. JM and Maymon have made huge leaps under him and he gets no credit. People call him Dooley when he has surpassed expectations both years here and beaten ranked rivals. Is he Coach K? NO. Is he Buzz or Dooley? No.
Guys I'm not going to beat a dead horse. I have said it for a very long time while people have argued, that this coach and his staff are horrendous. As this season progresses, even the largest supporters of cuonzo will not defend him.
A few weeks ago I heard an interview with ccm that boggled my mind. In the interview he stated that he "tried not to address the guys individually and single them out" for example: If a guy continues to not block out and his guy keeps getting offensive boards he would not say "you need to get more physical and find your man and box out" in stead he would say "guys we have to box out better"
The man is a complete and total pansy. If you think that there is a good coach in college basketball that does not hold individuals accountable then please introduce me to that person. I don't know if cuonzo is scared of his players but I do know that if you are scared to call out a guy that continues to not do his job then it will become the norm. It is quickly becoming the norm here.
