I feel different about the NIT. If The Vols are playing, I want to see them win with a max
Effort. And there are some on here that will try to put a positive spin on everything Martin does. The NIT is a prime example. Saying you don't care is what one says after a loss.

So, if he genuinely doesn't care about our performance in the NIT, he's supposed to pretend to care to advance your agenda?

I want to see us win every game we play and play with maximum effort too. The way we played was embarrassing, but it honestly stung about as equally as losing to Indianapolis in the exhibition game several years ago. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter. Had we gotten beat in the NCAA tourney by Mercer with that type effort, I think we all would still be upset. Under the circumstances though, I won't lose one ounce of sleep over a loss to Mercer in the NIT.

Well I am a competitive person and like to win anything I play. But that being said, I am not using the NIT loss as harsh criticism against Martin. It is human nature to have a let down, especially when only 3k fans attend. That said, I am not concerned about that loss. I am more concerned with the other items that I mentioned above.

If 3 people show up, I expect the Vols to show up. CM is getting paid alot of money to have his team ready. I'm concerned the Vols have blown off the NIT 2 years in a row.

I agree with you, there are a few that will never give CM credit. I do critize him, but do give him credit. Stokes and Hubbs are excellent pick ups. Josh has been a pleasant surprise. He seems to be going after bigger fish for 2014 and beyond. His decision to bring Hall off the Bench paid off. Just get off to good start and make the tournament .

I'm not saying you are wrong. I just don't see it that way.
