Coach Jones.....

I said from day one.....

He didn't deserve the job.....he's all talk...bravado...hyperbolic.... rhetoric, and cute 'sayins'....he plays a 'coach' on TV and in the hearts and minds of those who either aren't very sophisticated in the area of critical thinking and or people who want something so so so very much that their blinded by the obvious.....

My concerns are and I'm not attempting to be hurtful just objective......he's not very intelligent....he's not a visionary......he's not genuine...he's a 'character' that he's learned to play and plays it well....

I will give him this....he is 'staying the course'.....keeping to the script.....showing no weakness....not letting us see him sweat or accepting any responsibility whatsoever.....he's also banking all the money he fast as he can....keeping his family out of the light and the community to limit the ' collateral damage' when the wheels come off.......brick by brick....brick by brick baby....

He was smart enough to sign a $18m contract. :)

"Keeping his family out of the light and the community". Lol. As if you and Butch roll in the same "community". So much fail.

It's one thing to critique the guy on the job he's doing coaching up and preparing his team to play a football game. I agree that he's struggling.

It's another thing to disparage his character and essentially call him a fraud and a liar. This is way out of bounds.

Stupid post is stupid IMO.

Who should we have hired? I honestly would like to know who you would believe in?

Just to play devils advocate on this....who the hell did you want to come coach here?! It's not like Bill Belichick, Nick Saban, and the Ghost of Bill Walsh were knocking down the door to coach here.....UT was turned down more times than a bed sheet during the coaching search.

So who should it have been?! I'm far from a blind Jones supporter, in fact I'm just as upset as anyone over this season...But this thread is just dumb

Only time will tell. I hope that is not the case. Based on facts, he does not have much experience as a head coach. 3 years at CMU and 3 years at Cincy. Same can be said of Sumlin, Freese, Muschamp who are also struggling some. I typically think HC's with experience turn programs around quicker and for the long term. Look at Saban, Meyer, Spurrier, Miles, Stoops. They all has head coaching experience at major universities. I hope CBJ gets it done, but I truly wish we would have landed Gundy. He was the MAN for the job and I don't think we did everything we could have to land him. Sorry for dwelling on the past, just seeing him destroying Baylor brought up my thoughts.

The offense would have still struggled. There still would have been a huge learning curve. Gundy also runs a spread system also.

Where do these people come from? Good grief. Ask recruits and our current team how genuine Coach Jones is. Geez, our fans cannot handle adversity.

Sumlin and Freeze are struggling? You do know what kind of programs they inherited? Geez, I will take that struggling.

He was the best guy available that actually wanted the job. It's a dumpster fire rebuild and it's going to take at least 5 years. I don't think Jones is a great coach but maybe he can get them back to having winning seasons.

About as useless a post as possible. You really don't say much of value. You don't like his offensice schemes? You believe the players don't listen or respect him? No, simple character assassination.

Tell me. Which available coach woold you have taken?

Why did you post something that I agree with.....It's too soon for that.

CBJ may be genuine, but 33-41 from 2008 to the present is tough to ignore no matter how you spin it.

Can we really get a dislike button or a delete thread button. Goes poof at 100 dislikes. We would not have to call an idiot, an idiot we could just dislike a thread to its death.

Would save board space. The ignore button does not have the same affect as a dislike would. Ignoring someone means that the ignorant post does not go away and the ignorant poster wins.

Really would you let a homeless man design and build your home.

If it "takes at least 5 years" he won't be around to see it.

You can't be real happy, given the state of your program, that it took a last minute, 92 yard drive to secure a comeback win vs the worst team in UT school history. Can you?

Struggling late in the year. I would say that this year has been a disappointment for an Aggie fan. Ole Miss has 4 losses, but this year has been pretty good for them The point I was trying to make is that I prefer a HC with HC experience. How do you think Penn State has survived? Coaches with "big time" experience, i.e. NFL or major conference credentials make turn arounds with programs faster and maintain stability longer. Once again, that is just my opinion. CBJ doesn't have that experience, but I hope he turns things around. That is also why I think it will be year 4 when we see the big change, maybe year 3. He needs the time to gain experience and get our program back on top.
