He didn’t hire Harper, fulmer did. Lots of odd takes on here today.

I honestly stopped keeping up with high school recruiting because of obvious reason, but what coach has a good recruiting class and potential players already on the roster that they could bring with them?

Rueck that’s why I keep saying his same. Some really nice players on his roster.

Those coaches aren't coming to Tennessee. We are no longer the one that gets what we want. She has not had great success, but she has had success. This sends a message to anyone hired - NC within 5 years or you are gone.

Anyone will come for the right amount of money. Women’s basketball is suddenly big business, if you haven’t noticed. Tennessee is one of the few schools that can, and just may, pay someone what they’re worth to get the job done right.

We had a guy flip off the other team 2 years ago and a coach get ejected a couple times. The absolute horror. Hide the children!

Perhaps the student athletes should learn to behave in a manner that makes their university proud? Folks on here, including myself, don’t like the way AR and CC mug and taunt but you’re okay with the BB team flipping off opponents. No double standard there.

The article did not say if was John. I'm just speculating that it had to be him for her to totally refuse knowing it would mean her job. I agree an AD does not normally get that involved with HC staff hires but if it was John he must had a reason that we may never know.

Lawd, that has to be the definition of insanity! Who cares if it’s a man or woman, black or white? I want the best coach available, to coach our Lady Vols back to prominence!
That whole mindset is why we are in the predicament we are in now.

I have actually thought about this some with the day and age we are living in and trying to push narratives and people forward because they look a certain way or don’t etc…told a buddy that Geno is going to be the last great white male coach in the women’s bball world. Walz is already having tougher time getting and keeping talent. That sport definitely attracts a certain crowd and likes being very non inclusive….kinda funny when they complain about that type of behavior and then exhibit it to the fullest.

I’ve said many times she’s a bad evaluator of talent, never have I been one of her defenders on here.

Jon could have done something else and I think the Harper family could have eked by on Kellie's million plus a year salary.

Any prospective hires need to be aware that the bottom rung of White's expectations is win a NCAA-level championship of some type (conference, conf. tournament, or NC) within five seasons or you're out.

I don’t think AD White was a fan of that setup either. I’ve maintained since it started happening the husband and wife coaching duo is ridiculous. I’m not paying two salaries to one household and creating an immediate accountability problem with my coaching staff by hiring a married couple.

And again, give me one MEN’S sport where the wife is an assistant to the husband. I’ll wait.

It's one of the most intellectually dishonest and laziest takes I've seen on this board and I've been around enough to see a lot of that.

Seems "Lucy" has been hung up on Burke's display from a couple years ago and somehow that's a bridge too far and is ready to burn the whole thing down.
