Wow.. Harper lost some tough games this season but didn't see that coming. Don't believe the UT administration would have made this move unless they had a good hire lined up. Curious like everyone else as to who it will be.

Will they go against the grain & hire a male coach? This is gonna be a hot topic across wbb!

Yeah, it turns out the Cora Hall buyout story was the signal. Jewel coming back seemed like a sign in the opposite direction but she must like the coaching options in play.

This is a huge hire for Danny White. He had tremendous pressure on him. I might even go as far as to say this hire may be bigger than hiring Heupel. I think he will make the right choice. At least I hope so.

The 1.1 second mattered, but I think this was a trajectory based decision. As me and others have said, next year had the makings of a lame duck season.Wouldn’t be fair to the program or even to Kellie for that matter to let that kind of season unfold.

Mediocrity and zero upward movement from her. I thought she acted a little differently in the NCAA tourney - maybe she knew she had to win. Best of luck to her. I hope we drop the crap about having to be a former Vol to coach here.

Agree, which is why I'm shocked if he doesn't have a home run hire lined up that he's just waiting a decent amt of time to announce. Because if he doesn't, his ability to make a huge hire is really constrained by time and by who's available right now. Has to get it done very quickly w the portal, etc.
