If LSU brings in Mulkey, we will bring in a similarly accomplished coach. Harper was a .600 level coach before and during her time here. Time to swing for the fence.

I like Kara Lawson but we need to think bigger here. Like a Brenda Freese who has won a title and been to multiple final fours.

I think he’s THE best we’ve had. Look at our athletic department as a whole, it’s never been on this level.

People keep saying she has bad blood with the USC AD.

If it’s contentious enough I could see her going somewhere she might feel more respected.

Not sure if he wants to be at UT or not, but I don’t think age is a problem and his record definitely speaks for itself. He’s been a winner everywhere he’s been.

Brenda’s coaching style is outdated. She can’t keep players due to her, uh, strong(?) personality.

Yeah, I think everyone's reading comprehension failed them for a minute. The input from student-athletes will be directed towards what they are wanting in terms of a new coach. White did not talk to student-athletes for input on whether or not to fire Harper.

Mulkey isn’t leaving, IMO.

Brenda hasn’t won a title since 2006. Hasn’t been to a FF since 2015. Has had a LOT of really good players transfer over the years. And hasn’t been able to recruit good post players. I don’t want her.

Which makes me throw up in my mouth a bit if true. If we're beginning an aggressive search now,only to end up w the next up and comer, we're in big, big trouble.

Not sure what to believe at this point, but I sure hope he's got a couple of true home run possibilities at least lined up. And not the usual suspects who aren't coming in a million years.

Wellllll, with the political climate in Tennessee and how outspoken Dawn is about race, idk how respected she would feel if she was actually considered and hired here.

Especially when you see that across the biggest 5 sports (football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball), Lady Vols basketball is doing the worst at the current time and at Tennessee that's unheard of.

Coaching searches are great. Thousands of individuals guessing and speculating.

Almost as entertaining as watching a monkey throw poop at the wall trying to make it stick.

I used to want Walz but again, not anymore. Though I do think there is a 70/30 chance he would keep Sam on staff if he was hired. He tried to lure her back to Louisville a couple times. They were a better team when she was there so they must have made a good combo.


Right now the candidates I’d like to see us entertain are Becky Hammon, Dawn Staley, Scott Rueck and maybe one quality up and comer deserves an interview.

Realistically I think we get someone the caliber of a Rueck. But it’s my pipe dream to have Becky or Dawn in Knoxville.

When we fired Holly my pipe dream was Mulkey and everyone said I was nuts and she would never leave Baylor due to her success there. I kept saying she would jump for the right amount because she didn’t get on with the admin there. Sure enough…
