Isn't it sad when a great "bar" is Sweet Sixteen and good winning percentage is 19 and 12 or whereever we are

We are Tennessee and we should "aspire higher"
This season was a down year. In her prior 4 seasons, Kellie had an overall win percentage of 69% and 71% in conference.

Again, only 7 teams have had back to back S16s over the previous 2 seasons and the LVs are in that set.

The landscape of women's basketball has changed and there is a lot more parity than before. There are a handful of coaches that would be clear upgrades over Kellie but they ain't gettable or movable.

Look, this team and coaching staff certainly aspired higher than their current record. In fact, I would bet that there are at least 25 teams that began the season with serious aspirations to at least make the final four and maybe 100 where the fans had that aspiration. The tricky thing about the final four is that only four teams actually make it through the gauntlet, regardless of their aspirations.

The LVs enter this tournament with a very good chance to make it the S16 and no one would say it was crazy that could make a run to the final four. They are a very competitive team who remain in the conversation.

I am gonna revisit "the play" just one last time. Let's imagine the odds played out and Cardosa clanked her shot of the back rim. The narrative would have been that Kellie goaded Dawn into taking a terrible shot (your last chance comes down to a 3 pointer from a player who had not shot one all season???) and Dawn would have looked dumb, very dumb for having her main paint threat hanging around the perimeter. But the shot banked in (and Cardosa did not call bank) and Dawn is a genius and Kellie is the dumbest coach on the planet. It is a game of fine margins.

Kellie is a solid coach who does a great job motivating players,. If she can't pick up the pace on her recruiting, she will putter out in the next two seasons. through the portal, she has done pretty well but there is not enough depth, in terms of quality players on the bench. If she and her staff can solve that dilemma, I think she can bring the LVs back to prominence,

i acknowledge other opinions and if you believe KJH can bring "back to prominence" then great

I'm looking forward to seeing Coach maneuver through Bracket. She has the best player in Raleigh and confident player in Spear and inside D presence in Key. I know it's a road game against Wolfpack but I expect a W. If not then yes let the conversation begin after 5 years and only sweet 16's to show for an Elite Brand in Women's Game. Time is Ticking. Go Lady Vols. In CHRIST Alone

Not really, Reeves and the freshmen were his best players and how he beat a final four Tennessee team.
That was regular season. KY. has been eliminated in the opening rounds of the NCAA for the last several years -- always against more experienced though less talented teams. The early season tournament exists are why people are calling for Coach Cal's head.

Kellie is a solid coach who does a great job motivating players,...............................................

I'll have what they're drinking!!

Will she fold under the most pressure of her career? The media narrative will be impossible for Danny to ignore if they lose tomorrow.

Yet Tennessee is only one of 6 teams to make the last two Sweet 16 appearances. Kellie Harper is only one of two coaches in the history of women's basketball to get 4 different teams to the NCAA tournament. Kellie is in a very rare class of coaches, getting ready to turn out her 4th straight 1st round Draft pick. Everyone will say Rickea has only been here 2 years. When Rickea came in last year she wasn't considered a 1st round draft pick by most mock polls, yet her game has flourished under Kellie Harper and this coaching staff in all areas especially defense and rebounding to compliment her scoring most likely making her a top 3 pick. We look to be a finalist on 8-9 recruits in the 25 class when finally there are no more COVID players left, and have a probable all American signed already. This program is moving in a positive direction from where it was when Kellie took over and will continue to.

Kellie will be back next year win or lose vs Green Bay
I think Tennessee win Over Green Bay
Lost today would make her leash shorter for the end of next year.
But baring a repeat of. Tennessee players using the Coaching staff credit card
She's safe for this year.
Kellie seat is cooler for this year

ThAn All you that want her gone this season.

Part of this message was put in drive-by language
Not to say your than a Lady Vols basketball fan
Some only post when Tennessee lose.

I would really like to know what clicked in her in Jan-Dec during her and Kellie's indifference...It was then that she started to play this way and never looked back
