Hard to remember that 6 weeks ago many were worried we wouldn't make the tourney. Then went on nervous buble watch. Got a six seed.

Today was 20 wins, I remember many saying that would never happen.

Definitely playing their best ball now. Need to grab off that ranked win next!

I know I'll get ripped for this, but I think Kellie is just now learning how to coach at a big time Power 5 school. WCU was small and she did well. NC State was weird politics and I think Kellie was too young. She did a good job at Mo. St. and took over Tennessee at a chaotic time. She has been learning on the job. Ask Staley if success is instantaneous. It takes most coaches a while to settle in. Yes, I know Mulkey, blah, blah, blah. She had Natty's and a ton of experience under her belt. Not quite the same. Take a deep breath and hang on. Maybe Kellie is about to hit her stride. We can all hope. Time will tell.

I really like the offensive sets that we are currently running. I don't remember seeing a lot of these actions earlier in the year.

We still aren't a great defensive team, but they are doing much better than they were.

I do not know what game you were watching today. Tennessee played excellent defense, holding them to 18% in the second quarter when they switched to the match up zone.

You think we are currently a great defensive team? I'm talking about not just this one game. IMO we are much better than we were mid-January. I would say our offense is great and our defense has come a long way from "flat-out bad" to "above average".

Most teams goal is to become better in tournament time than they were in mid January. That is the goal. Teams want to peek at the right time in the NCAA tournament. Would you expect us to be playing defense now like we were playing two and a half months ago?

20 years as a head coach? Maybe she needed more asst jobs? Maybe give her hubby a different job, and hire a better Asst coach?
