UT has a PR department that receives automatic updates when keywords related to the school trend on Twitter (X). They absolutely monitor it, and regularly use it in their approach to image management.

I don’t like him, regardless of the positions he holds, but I do understand he has an audience, a platform, and a voice. When someone has those things, what they say becomes amplified. If the noise grows it snowballs, so if he calls for her job that’s going to have some power.

I've never thought 'a lot of people', esp average fans like us, will make much difference. They need professional donor development of a few deep pockets.

I'd just like to see it set up for whoever the coach is in the future. It will be alot easier to get a home run hire if NIL is in place.

That said, I believe we are in an NIL no man's land right now until things get straightened out and clarified. Everyone knows it's not going to stay the Wild West it is now. For the women, the role of Title IX will be a big factor.

You know I’ve asked who was responsible for the development and relationship building side of things for the ladies, but of the many “people close to the program” in here, nobody has answered. It was said that some local relationships were damaged years ago and nothing I guess has been done to repair them? Does the Athletic Dept not care about the program? I know they can’t directly ask for money, but if we’re not trying to repair relationships and get donors lined up, then what does that mean? I just have a hard time believing Danny White doesn’t care about the program and hasn’t already seen where we are supposedly failing, so where s the breakdown?

I have not joined the ‘fahr Kellie’ crew; next year's results will determine her fate.
But her most ardent supporters might take note of her overall record.

We lost power in an ice storm on Saturday, and internet was gone until about half an hour ago, so I missed our game. I caught the last few minutes of the Syracuse-Uconn game. A real battle.
When Uconn finally prevailed, the announcer remarked that it was 30 straight years going to the Sweet Sixteen for them. I guess that defines high expectations.
ETA- 16 years ago, we, too, were in that conversation.

Yes im fine with losing players who have yet to step foot or produce anything for the program if it means we get back to winning . Whomever we replace her with can utilize the transfer portal as well . Tennessee the name sells its self but its becoming less and less popular each year we keep mediocracy smh.

My conjectures. a blow out might have been a trigger. Making close I think gives Kellie next year, without a Rickea Jackson caliber player.

Kellie and staff need to have a great portal and close the deal on some 2025 recruits.

She needs an infusion of talent to survive beyond next season, in a ramped up SEC.

The LVs were one elite defending guard from being able to win this game (Okay, maybe a better PG).

Assuming Spear returns, Key takes her covid year, and Puckett makes another step forward, and Boyd is ready to be another precocious freshman . That is a reasonably solid foundation. Jillian has potential but she remains an enigma.

I don't think Destiny Wells is the answer at PG (but can be a good back-up). The team needs a PG, two athletic guards, and another quality post.

Next year is make or break

Next year we will be 3 times worse than this year its clear to see lol im confused on what high expectations kellie has set to give her 1 more year at the helm ? We are falling and falling fast smh sad that folks are okay with this Pat summit would never.

We pretty much have waited 5 years and went backwards so the longer we wait the longer we fall. So that answer is all up to how fast kellie gets the boot because she's not developing a championship roster ever , the proof is there with recruiting and the talent she garners . We are a mid major team now period.

NIL is not the reason thats an excuse its the fact Kellie and John cant recruit and use the portal aka the Name of the Team "Tennessee" to get existing players that have already passed us up in the original recruitment to come here as a last resort option even though they chose elsewhere the first go round smh .

How many years has it been since the LV's were NCAA Champions .......I believe it to be the 2007/2008 season so that would be what ......if math is correct that is 16 years .

That makes no sense. If you’re going to fire her for making a sweet 16 next year, what in the world are we doing keeping her.

I never said I agreed that was the reason, that’s just what people on here say is the reason. I just think they need to evaluate talent better and not recruit like they are at a mid major. With th incoming talent I think they get it now. If a coaching change is made I would like it to be a coach that can bring talent with them so the turn around is immediate, as an example would be Lindsey Gottlieb or Cori Close, I don’t wanna sit around 5 years waiting and hoping they get the talent.
