You can’t publish a one sided hit piece with no facts and only a “she said” narrative. They have started doing so in the MSM for several years. Much to the detriment and integrity of journalism. It’s all about trying to cancel people.

Mulkey is smart enough or well advised enough to know she needs to say nothing and they can do nothing.

Also hard to roll with the narrative as it clearly isn’t affecting her recruiting.

We know she’s kicked people off her teams, out of gyms, held people accountable etc. I’m sure there are lots of hurt feelings in Mulkey’s wake. Kent Babb, the journalist in question, is a highly respect and acclaimed reporter. The Washington Post broke the Watergate story. So, they may not be shaking in their boots over Kim Mulkey's threats.
You can certainly publish a piece where eye witnesses provide unflattering information about someone. Mulkey is trying to get ahead of the story and playing to the idea that journalists are 'enemies" but that is likely a damage control move. It is not a hit piece when a Journalist reveals the skeletons hidden in your closet.

I suspect that none of the revelations will be shocking (in the sense of not already being somewhat known or suspected). It will more likely be a damning mosaic of events that in total show a person who has become drunk with power and runs rough shod over everyone, much like Bobby knight.

They (I think it was USA TODAY) did that to Texas Techs WBB coach Marlene Stollings and she won a huge lawsuit

Not quite, She settled out of court and her suit was not against USA Today but texas tech for firing her. Her key defense was that she had been cleared by two internal investigations of charges that she had created a hostile and toxic environment.

Of course, two internal investigations sort of suggest that there was some smoke. Apparently, texas AM did not want the publicity and hassle of the case going to court and settled--terms were never disclosed.

Vic took MSU to the final 4 twice. Took a bottom of the SEC team to the final 4 in about 3 years. He was also the defense coach for TX A&M national championship. Remember how in the final minutes of that game he called a defense that prevented ND getting the ball inbounds. I thought of that when Harper failed to have anyone guard the inbounds throw against SC WITH 1.1 seconds to go.

Gotta say, if White does hire Dawn as head coach with Geno as his assistant, I would probably be okay with that coaching change, kind of like replacing Heupel with Jim Harbaugh and Rick Barnes with Erik Spoelstra.

I bet White could get it all done for $500 million over 10 years, plus incentives. Let's go!!!

Oh ffs, have some faith in east tennessee. Kellie is the right coach for right now. If/when TN makes a change, it will be the right coach for right then. Man woman white black, whatever lines you draw, it will be the right choice. Sure, the W-L column matters, but it ain't always about the bag. And if I have to eat sh*t from people I know who don't like TN, about this, that, or whatever, blah blah blah, idgaf. I will still wear the stupid beautiful orange, even though I'm secretly becoming an ACC fan too.

We're all speaking English, yet we all speak different languages. Negas and orange tinters alike - you're diehards and I know you have faith too. None of us has the pen and none of us individually scripts the plot, so grow the game any way you can. You kinda are, just by being here.
