Coach Muffet said the truth we been waiting for long

I never really cared for her but my appreciation of her has increased substantially for standing up to the UConn cancel culture. What is really laughable is that the typical response of a UConn fan is to deny and deflect or try to assassinate the character of people who speak up about Luigi’s behavior. They’ve always done it because they are fairly low class when it comes to fanmanship. They slandered Pat relentlessly and to believe that we don’t remember is just a slap in the face.

Yes that man has 11 champions but how many of those did he lied, went through recruiting violation to get those players. But because he never been on investigation I never trusted him. Playing Candace and having all Uconns players invited to National team says what he had been doing for years and nobody stood up and challenged him. Now she's saying the truth she's jealous. Jealous of wat, she beat Uconn twice to win championship. She's a fame coach and needs to be invited foe questions just like NBA ex coaches get invite to talk

Yea some on here some to forget that. Instead of monopolizing the power she held she chose to spread it for the growth of the game and spread it THE RIGHT WAY! Maybe if Pat had been more selfish she would have won more but the one thing that burns other coaches up is she is credited with the growth and exposure of women's basketball. A title even the most winning coach won't be able to claim.

Yet to this day (from recent BY comments), there exist CONN fans who actually blame Pat for hindering the growth of wbb (by cancelling the series) and even accuse her of trying to "destroy" their program with accusations of recruiting violations. Adding insult to injury, they call her a "coward" for having the SEC file allegations instead of her publicly making tge charges herself.

I don't know if these sentiments are shared by a majority of longtime CONN fans, but they don't seem to be rare.

Is just like Rape... there's always a reason why some refused to say anything. But hey, Geno never cares to open his mouth and insult TN called Toxic environment.

And why is that, Mike? Because you're looking for confirmation of an echo chamber? I guess we have different definitions of "real" fans vs. "fake" fans then.

As much as I dislike UConn and have been enjoying watching their slide this year, I also don't subscribe to some of the weird-ass conspiracy theories pertaining to them and how UConn has the entire WCBB powers at their beck and call to enable world domination. Seriously...now all of the ranking services will elevate recruit rankings just because UConn has expressed interest in them? This is women's college basketball. The stakes are extremely low.

Good for Muffet to speak her mind, but let's not also pretend that when she's said things Volnation didn't agree with, she was quickly dismissed as an idiot.

AMEN. Thanks for some sanity.

There's a comment on the other Conn website that said Muffet like Pat was resentful that a man was more successful coaching women than they were and he couldn't have done it without having an unfair advantage of some sort.

What in the world are you talking about? ESPN gives information constantly about teams all over the country, in a variety of sports.

ESPN ran chyrons on the new AP poll yesterday.....for the men they listed teams 1 thru 10. For the women they listed teams 1 thru 6. You-know-who is number 7.

I'm not in the ESPN-hates-us camp, but that appeared to be a calculated slight One thru six....c;mon man....

If they ran 1-10, there would have been a regular that was missing also. Biotches….
