Coach Prime

The same Kansas that knocked out 2 other ranked teams the preceding 2 weeks. A teams record does not tell the whole story. Kansas came of a 2 point loss to ranked Kansas State and went on to Beat Iowa State, BYU and then Colorado...Live happens CU is still at 8 wins which is only the second time since 2004 they have won more than 7 games. Colorado has had a winning record 3 times in the last 20 years... 10 in 2016 7 in 2005 and this year. If they win one more game this SEASON will equal the total of the last coach over 3 years. Chances of CU winning 9 games is almost 100% chances of them winning 10 games for the 3rd time this century are also very high.

Primes reaction to the loss was awesome I think.
KU is legitimately good this year they were OK when wv played them every week have improved. They only lose by small margins and the KSU game proved they're not bad. Their QB is a hustle player not afraid to put himself out there but he does have a tendency to make some dumb plays, but it's due to his high risk high reward method of play.

I thought CU was a fluke but they're legitimately a good team, deserving top 20

KU should be just 1 loss (TCU game) even that was winnable. If so KU would be a top 15 team right now. They lost to WVU, KSU, ASU, UNLV, Illinois, by a single play, IMO KU is the 2nd best team in the 12 (byu) and will continue to be #2 next year, unless WVU gets nick saban (lol). Possibly the best 5-6 Big12 team in 10 years.

They aren't upgrading their stadium into a future cyberpunk stadium for no reason they seek to be dominant
It helps being a Big12 watcher such as yourself vs VolNation folks who only watch SEC gBTW.

100% CU last year shows how it goes.... People constantly point out CU only won 4 games last year but they went from losing games by almost 30 to losing by single scores. This lead to this year when they turned those L's to wins. KU did the same thing just in the course of a single season.. you could see the were not a bad team they just had to have the light come fully on.

And for all those haters wishing this was the last year of Prime he is gonna be in UC for years to come.. All the haters have changed me from a 'meh don't really care' guy to an actual fan of Prime as a coach. He has blazed a trail and at this point no telling where it leads. All I know is its gonna be a good show as always. Can't wait to see how the goal posts get moved the next few years...the haters will be out in full force next season as they likely regress some to a 6-7 win team with a true freshman QB. Then will be silenced again when the actual HS guys he has actually developed these past few years start bubbling up.

His overall record (20 years) is quite good. You need more info after a guy wins the division LAST YEAR. If he sucks 3 years in a row then you can fire him.

Everyone knows this is his final year at Colorado.

Colorado is definitely better than people on here give them credit for. But they are also 1 dimensional and extremely thin on depth.

If they were in the SEC this year and had Ole Miss' schedule, I think they'd be 7-5 or 8-4. If they had a schedule like UF, they'd likely be 5-7 or worse. And this assumes their star players stay healthy during an SEC schedule. If they lost Hunter or Sanders for more than 2-3 games, they'd be competing with UK and Ms St for the cellar in the SEC.

Agree with this take fully.

Deion has shown that he can acquire immediate talent and win some ball games in a less than stellar Big XII.

The way we will know if he is an elite coach/program builder comes down to how he builds depth and talent throughout the team rather than a few star players. I still believe that he relies far too heavily on the transfer portal. They are 33rd in class ranking right now for high school recruits (according to On3). That just won't get it done long-term. CU has to find a balance on transfers and high school recruits to build an elite program. Can he accomplish that, and will he want to stick around long enough to do it? I'm skeptical at this point...

Well he is still employed at Okie State so not sure you comment?
As of now. I suggested they should consider firing him the day they got blitzed by Colorado, but a few of you acted like that was a crazy statement and completely out of the realm of possibility. Well, since then both coordinators have been fired and now he may be, or at worse he's getting a restructured contract with a pay cut and much lower buyout. Doesn't seem so crazy now, does it?

I know Chad Weiberg - he doesn't mess around.

People love to call out others on here as if they're morons for stating an opinion or asking a legitimate question for discussion, then when that person is proven correct - crickets. Just like last October when I told everyone Saban was retiring at the end of the season - because I had been told that from someone close to him.

Some of you need to man up and admit when you're wrong.

Yes. Okie State firing him for one bad season is a brain dead decision.

There are only two outcomes here:

1- Gundy is fired and OSU has to pony up 40-50 million dollars to fire and hire two staffs

2- Gundy stays employed as he is and no contract is restructured.
