Buddy, history means nothing here. As time goes on, the golden years of Tennessee’s history happened before most recruits were born….. the only history of Tennessee to recruits these days are 15 years of dysfunction and misery.
Please tell me that isn't true

I would argue we should always improve. Did you expect to lose to Florida? Missouri? Bama was a given but how much faith do you have Banks can beat ga. Even at home
Progress isn’t always linear. The team lost a heisman finalist QB, an All-American OT, and the Biletnikoff winner. I thought 9-3 was reasonable for this season. They could still hit that but likely staring an 8-4 regular season. There are areas that need improving but we’re out of the gutter and I don’t think Heupel has hit his ceiling here yet

I believe we can develop the talent we get. Maybe Bama and Ohio st get the #1's, but we have Heupel. Another Hinton and we only have to beat ga to be in it. The fact that they always play a weak schedule means we have a chance

I agree that Hooker was a Heisman finalist, if not the winner. I just believed we had a shot at the east. Because ga has such a weak schedule, not having to play Bama, they get an automatic sec east. Kentucky, usc, auburn, Florida, Missouri, and maybe ole miss should not matter. I agree with the playoff committee that they should be #2 or lower. Who cares if the are undefeated, recruits should see past there weak conference

Some people are going to sleep this off tonight and move on with their lives.

We've got a great football coach. It's obvious for this offense to function like it's intended, we have to have a much better QB. I think we lost a critical opportunity with not being able to procure T. Jackson back for this season to have a legit QB competition coming into the year. Milton's solid performance in the Orange Bowl pretty much sealed the deal on his inevitable transfer. I'm sure if Milton beat out HH the year before, it's highly likely he would've did the same this season. However, it would have been great to see what another highly touted player who had a year experience in the system could have done so we didn't have to alter everything to accommodate for Milton's deficiencies. In other words, I wish we had another QB who was ready to compete while Nico is being groomed.

Hypuel does deserve criticism for the penalties and sloppy play, including what looks like lack of effort sometimes on defense.

With all that said, winning 1 less game than last season with Milton instead of HH is a good season IMO.

I say let Milton struggle and think he's great while talking crap and losing one more week, then I'd start Nico against Vandy and Bowl.

You got to stop expecting more than you’re appreciating. Dabo told the world the secret to success. Saban called it “rat poison”, but it’s the same damn thing!

Anyhow.. Carry on - But when you sober up tomorrow, you’ll see that this “burn it to the ground” attitude is as much bs as our run defense.

I understand now why we are awful. I have sat here and watched us be 5-7 and 4-8 for so long. We finally get a good coach and y’all want to run him out of the building! When was the last time our football team was ranked and had a chance at a new years six game or the playoffs? He is working with scholarship restrictions along with injuries. However I still believe he is one (if not the best) offensive coaches in the country.
That’s the Tennessee fan base for you

Are you happy with our recruiting. Everyone loses players every year, Bama has reloaded most of the time. If ga can recruit good players with a weak schedule then why can't we
I’m very happy with the 2024 class. It may be the class that truly lays the foundation for the future. It’s typically the class the year after the successful year on the field and we’re seeing that with 2024.

Ask Kiffin how it's going for him to out-shceme all that UGA talent. He's only down 31 points in the early 4th quarter.

I'd prefer to get the 1s and let UGA, Bama try to out-develop and out-shceme us
