This.There's a difference as you mentioned between being handed the keys to a fueled up dragster and being handed the keys to a pinto that's burning in the ditch.
There's also a difference in being hand picked by your predecessor to take over a program you helped build. This is why Lincoln Riley and Ryan Day are successful. If you take away those pieces of the equation then they may not be any better than Pruitt.
That's the way coaching changes are SUPPOSED to happen. That's not ever what Tennessee does.
