If I wasn't going to swing for Smith (who just got hired) or Carroll (why would he leave?),... I would swing at those guys.

Any coach worth pursuing in earnest, making a big offer to, has many reasons why not to come from our perspective. A great chance of turning us down. White isn’t doing his job if that means he starts with the contingency types

The only NFL coaches I would think would even think about it are Kingsbury and Rhule if they are tired of the NFL.
But if we wanted to make an out of the box hire, talk to Eric B if he doesn't get a job. But I just don't see it.

Urban, technically, is a sitting NFL coach, ya know.

Saban money required: check.
Impressive to reach out to him: check.
1% chance of getting him: 1% is generous.

Reeks of desperation, however, if the offer is new.

I agree, that's why I said "you have got to be sh*tting me?". He laughed and said "well I guess you never know until you ask". I don't think this guy never coached college ball, or if he did it was a long time ago as some kind of assistant.

I’m glad we tired regardless of who turned our advances down. Asking Rhule- perhaps he learned to love college and found the NFL HC wasn’t it for him. Obviously not, but worth a call.

So it isn't Urban. I think he has coached at the college level, if I recall correctly. 😉

I'm not saying you are right or wrong........but the other day i did read some cryptic message on another forum that they had to wait until the season was over and that would have been Sunday for 2 teams of course so who knows. If White does pull something like that off he has got to have some type of MYSTIC and MAGICAL power to make everybody unable to tell what they might and might not know. All we can do is hope......AIM FOR THE STARS AND AT THE WORSE WE'LL LAND ON THE MOON.
