Coachery

Has anyone heard of any other team calling a team meeting today? Didn't know if it would give a clue. Maybe Herman? Or a current OC? You would think a sitting HC would want to meet with his players/coaches to let them know he's leaving before the news breaks.

JH didn't let his players at Mizzou know.

Well, regardless of who's hired, I will support the guy until he gives me a reason not to. I had my wish list but wishing doesn't make it so. I have no idea who was contacted and who wasn't or what the AD might have known about some candidates that fans don't know. So, like I said, I'll support until he gives me a reason not to. Pretty sure whomever it is will be better than 3-7 with NCAA violations.

All this for JH. Coaching search firms, planes flying all over the place, supposed big budgets for finding a coach and we come up with this?
I don't know what they really spent or if there really was any coordinated misdirection but I do know that this is not the hire that the boosters and administration was sold when they were deciding who to hire as AD. This reeks of desperation by our new AD to not have to name Fulmer's choice as interim for a year. Hope he wins but expecting another coaching search in 3-4 years.

I have officially come to the conclusion that DW may be a great AD, but this program is in such disarray that there's nothing he or anyone else can do at the moment. Am I happy with Heupel? No, not one bit. But could we have done worse? Yes, absolutely. Will I support JH? Sure, but it's more of a "since I have to" and less of an excitement. This is where we are. And until we get competence at all levels, this is where we're going to remain.

I am, however, going to be thoroughly pissed if it turns out we never once contacted Chadwell or Napier. If this is the truth, then DW is incompetent and I have zero faith.

What a f up this is.

After overpaying Danny White, and him spending $120,000 on a search firm, only to go and hire Heupel, I can't wait to see the ridiculous contract he gets.

Why do I get a suspicious feeling that The University of Tennessee just got played? Anyway, good luck to CJH and Go Vols.

Less than 50% of the wins Frost had in His final year. He regressed in 2019 also.

Seriously, do homework.

He went undefeated in the regular season his first year. Of course he is going to regress....duh

His 2nd year his QB got hurt and he played a TRUE freshman all year. Still went 10-3 and still had a top 10 offense.

I'm not arguing he is the next national championship coach but he isn't a bad coach and people need to stop acting like idiots and attacking him if he is the hire. We can do worse

I DGAD about the excuses why he regressed. That’s a cop out.
