There is no plane we can track connected to any moves being made to secure our next head coach.

How do we know this? Because Danny White has in previous lives on previous coaching searches proved that he is a wily, canny dude who strongly prefers to keep his cards right up against his vest. He wouldn't in a million years use or allow others involved in the search to use any plane that we fans might consider tracking. It's not like it's a great secret that fan bases try to track planes, after all

I disagree. If you are departing anyone can get the tail number. Then you search the tail number. Public Record makes it way too easy. Then, there are flight tracking websites available that do not honor the "privacy mode" and actually show you where these aircraft are until the landing sequence begins. So, lets say that N865UT turned on privacy mode, I could tell you that it left Knoxville, went to Charlotte and literally just took off from Atlanta minutes ago. Also booster aircraft are just as easy to identify. Just sayin'

UT has been more the opposite. We have money, we have facilities, we have the fan base, the admin has been terrible at hiring the ADs, and the ADs have been terrible at hiring the coaches.

It wasn’t just resources, FSU had enough to win a NC, but leadership all going in the same direction.
Fischer shares a lot of blame. He lost his way with his program during his personal stuff, and used the admin stuff as an excuse.

Yeah, true, but I think the bigger issue for us has been a lack of alignment between the university admins and the AD and the coach. We aren’t short on resources like FSU, but the misalignment can manifest in many different ways and have the same effect.

Normally, I would say that makes sense. However, due to Covid restrictions, I assume they’d use a smaller room and limit the number of people attending.

So Stoerners post said a target for weeks. So before Pruitt was terminated I am tryingbto think of realistic people on our radar that also meet the criteria that would previously seemed unrealistic. That could go half a dozen ways. I have this odd feeling Gary Patterson, Kyle Whittingham, Mike Gundy all candidates that we were interested that have stayed put may be in that category. Well, surely it won’t be a surprise that somewhere on campus they are preparing for a press conference to announce a new coach. It’s not like it’s a secret that we are hiring one and that they will have a PC for it, be it in this room or somewhere else. Somewhere on campus they are getting ready to have a PC, so it isn’t really informational that there are chairs being setup here or there.

Now if somebody snaps a pic of a big banner saying “welcome Coach Campbell”, that would be informative

Lol. Yeah, that would be a scoop. Seriously though, they do at least have the camera equipment out there, maybe that stuff doesn't cost what it used to, but I doubt they'd leave that unattended, IDK.
