I would say probably so for P5 and higher mid majors; lower level FBS and FCS schools probably would take a chance on a guy who had been fired more than once.

Mark Stoops has been given an extension to the 2031 season. I hope the Kentucky program collapses and UK is forced to pay a huge buyout to get rid of him.

They’ll never do that.
To hear that diehards tell it Mitchell (whoever that is) is perfectly happy the way things are. Win a few games get to a bowl.

He’d be crazy as hell to ever want to leave.

Crazy how far and quickly Willie Taggart's stock fell. I remember from Western Kentucky to South Florida, he had become one of the hottest up and comer names in college football, and now he's a 2 time fired coach. In hindsight I wonder if he would have stayed at Oregon, though I'm not sure he would have lasted that long there either as that didn't start out great and seemed like an odd fit from the beginning.

Folks around here are shocked he took the Nebraska job. Many figured he would sit out a year, do some TV and see how things shake out next season at A&M and Texas. Penn State has been his stated goal in college in the past so if the stars align he will probably drop Nebraska in a heartbeat and return to his alma mater. I wouldn't rule out his desire to coach in the NFL either.

Former Florida State head coach Willie Taggart was fired by FAU Saturday according to Adam Rittenberg of ESPN. The Owls fired Taggart after a 2nd straight 5-7 season.

It’s been out there for a few weeks. Apparently he spent some time in the hospital earlier in the season. Also, some have commented on how rough his cough has been sounding at press conferences.

Could Urban Meyer be considering the Cincinnati Bearcat's head coaching job? If he went to Cincinnati he would dominate a Big 12 without Texas and Oklahoma.

Chicago Bears might go after Fitzgerald at Northwestern He has said that is the only job he would leave for. Another season like this one and he will probably be fired anyway
