It's a pretty standard list. Florida overrated as usual, and Tennessee barely in the top 25, it's what I expected.

Man I don't get it, how do they come up with the ranking. Just look at the top 5 and think back to April in the draft and see how many players got drafted. I'm sure that they ranked them before Bomar was kicked out of OU.

OU is hurting without Bomar, but they still have the one of if not the best rb in the nation.

Good to see Florida State in the top 10. They could only win one game the previous season and recruit one legged midgets and they would still be in the top 10 the next preseason.

OU will see nothing but 8 or 9 guys in the box all season long...i think their title dreams are over.

As am I, dont get me wrong, i like being ranked high and all but this year we will be much more humble and i think that should help us out.

Apparently, there are people other than the Vol faithful who are predicting a turnaround from last season. Imagine that. I will say that it's a bit surprising to be ranked in the top-25 after a 5-6 season without significant personnel gains.

Not really so surprising when you listen to TV talking heads who are not as engrossed in all things Orange as we Nationals.
Very very few seem to think the season we continue to rehash was more than a blip.
We still trend as a top 20 caliber team in the minds of those around the country.
The voting follows the trend...

Thankfully, we very soon now get to prove we are the better side of the Fluke/Spiral question mark.

Better days are coming folks....

Very surprised we're ranked after a 5-6 season and our significant loss of personnel.

I do think we'll end the season in the top 20-25.

Good place to start. Being 23rd will make the players and coaches work harder. Tennessee seems to excel in the underdog role but by mid-season I want them to be the favorites! Go Vols!
