Thats not bad at all. Guess we have to leap frog lsu and texas in the next two weeks though.

ok. how in the hell does lsu pass us. they got lucky to even win.

va tech deserves to be up there. but lsu should have stayed behind us.

in a 4 week stretch we will play 3 top ten teams. that in my mind has to be the toughest shedule in the nation.

nobody else plays that many in the short span of time.

although florida will end up playing 4 of the teams that are in the top ten right now.

damn the sec is spectacular.

We didn't play and LSU beat a ranked team on the road, we will know soon enough who's the better team.

At least there are 4 SEC teams in the top ten. We're gonna get a chance to rectify the LSU issue in a couple of weeks.

just shows how ridiulous the polls are. lsu might have beaten a top 15 team and we didnt play. but how does that mean that we should drop.

lsu should have lost. they struggled mightily. they are very lucky to have that win. someone or something gave them that one.

from what i see.

florida is the team to beat. these guys are gonna give us a war.

i think we can handle both georgia and lsu.

but florida scares the crap out of me.

UGA up to 6 huh? If we beat South Carolina by 2, we would be out of the top ten.

A lot of it though is that Florida is still an unknown quantity since they haven't been on TV yet.

Tell you what guys, our schedule this year will have to wind up being one of the toughest of all time. Teams such as South Carolina, Notre Dame are showing signs of being a lot better than I personally thought they would be. Heck, even Kentucky looks pretty descent. They get their O-line playing up to par and you better not take them lightly. Even Vandy is 2-0 with an SEC win already.

Auburn shuts out Miss. State 28-0 and gets dropped from the poll

Oklahoma and Michigan ranked too high.

That's the biggest travesty of all. How do you blow out a conference opponent and drop?

Its possible that every team we play except one will have a winning record and possible that we play 3 teams that will only lose 1 game this year.

It's starting to seem like if we do (and that's a big if) go undefeated, they should just give us the NC without making us play anyone for it.

I said that very thing to a friend of mine last night. If we do run the table our schedule ought to leap us over USC in my opinion, if they happen to be undef. as well, for the No. 1 spot. I have a gut feeling however that when they make a trip to South Bend in October things might change.

Yeah My gut feeling on losing is on this weekend. i think we can run the table on all our games except Florida. I think there offense mat be too much. Did yall see chad jackson yesterday. Allen on Jackson is going to be the key matchup.

There offense is explosive, but they haven't exactly been tested yet, The key to the Florida game is,

Controlling the clock with our running game
Special teams field position
No stupid mistakes.

Exactly . . . They may be great, but I don't see how you can form much of an opinion based on their first two opponents I think it's a safe bet that we are going to see some things we haven't seen before, and they will too.
