Reports that I saw said more league games will be added. Anywhere from 18-22 in total. However, this season's schedule is already set in stone, so it wouldn't be enacted until '12-13. According to KNS, it's all but a done deal to essentially drop the divisions for the tournament this season while keeping the usual SEC schedule.
I'm digging 22 games.
I do agree with a previous point that I don't care about half the teams in the West however. Actually most years I don't care about any of the teams in the West.
So it looks like we will lose a home and home against VU, Kentucky or UF.

I don't think it's fair that Alabama gets eight easy wins and two toss-up games playing in their division while Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, and Vandy are being penalized for playing each other two times. The past few years the Western division has had at least two of the trio of Alabama, Auburn and Arkansas to get easy wins off of, while the East has South Carolina and Georgia. I'm not saying those two teams are extremely tough, they're more of a threat than the West bottom feeders.
Well, no more bragging about winning the division.
Usually you have 3 permanent opponents in 18 game league schedules. UK, Vandy, Bama seem like likely choices for Tennessee.
It would work like this:
Year 1:
UF, S. Carolina, Ole Miss, LSU (Home and Home)
@ Georgia, vs. Arkansas, @ Miss. St., vs. Auburn
UK, Vandy, Bama (Home and Home)
Year 2:
UF, S. Carolina, Ole Miss, LSU (Home and Home)
vs. Georgia, @ Arkansas, vs. Miss. St., @ Auburn
UK, Vandy, Bama (Home and Home)
Year 3:
@ UF, vs. S. Carolina, @ Ole Miss, vs. LSU
Georgia, Arkansas, Miss. St., Auburn (Home and Home)
UK, Vandy, Bama (Home and Home)
Year 4:
vs. UF, @ S. Carolina, vs. Ole Miss, @ LSU
Georgia, Arkansas, Miss. St., Auburn (Home and Home)
UK, Vandy, Bama (Home and Home)
REPEAT
Great, now work out a schedule for all 12 teams and keep at least 2 of their top rivals in the home&home... The math won't work in your favor. The problem is that everyone in the SECE considers UK a rival. At least, that is just one prospective issue. The math won't add up unfortunately to go about it this way.
