Coaches you would least like as DD's replacement.

Hate winning, huh?

I hate hiring:

-Scumbags
-Proven cheaters
-People who haven't been a head coach before (unless I'm really, really sure they'd be a good one)

Dykes was thrown in at the end because he's probably my least "I would like to hire this guy" coach out of the main candidates listed.

- Kirby Smart
- Any coach who is currently on Alabama's staff
- Any coach with a losing record in a non-BCS league
- Kirby Smart
- NFL coordinators, with the possible exception of Josh McDaniels
- Kirby Smart
- Oh yes, did I mention Kirby Smart?

What coach being hired as the next coach at UT would make you absolutely livid?

My List:

Petrino
Gundy
Holgerson
Cut
Smart
Tubberville
Franklin

(in before "anyone not named Jon Gruden")

Mods feel free to move to the WANTED HC thread... but this may be different subject to banter about.

I personally dont want to see any blasts from the past such as Cutcliffe.. great guy and all but can we please get some new and exciting blood in here? Cutcliffe has personally said how much he detests recruiting. :hi:

Hmmmmmmm... the last five coaches I would want to see on the hill would probably include:

1) Al Golden
2) Butch Davis
3) Joker Phillips
4) Gene Chizik
5) Terry Bowden

Top 10 I would like to see on the hill (in no particular order, except many believe Gruden to be the home run hire):

1) Gruden
2) Gundy
3) Patterson
4) Strong
5) Mullen
6) Fedora
7) Tuberville
8) Mora
9) Tony Dungy
10) Lovie Smith
???) Petrino

I realize that some of these may appear to be a pipe-dream, but all should do well on the hill. My biggest questions would be:

1) Fedora - can he recruit at the SEC level?
2) Petrino - can he overcome apparent morality issues and be able to recruit quality players?

Happy Thanksgiving to all Volunteer fans, everywhere ><>

I think everyone on these lists would still be better than Dooley. ABD!
