I liked this guy better when he was just starting threads about selling cheap Air Jordans. And why are all his posts double-spaced?

It doesn't get much more anonymous on an internet message board than having your first and last name as your user name.

He lost me when he implied that our criticism of Coach Pearl is unjustified (like we are supposed to believe him and not our eyes); and then went on to explain how Coach is disappointed in us (knowing I have disappointment Coach Pearl has prevented me from getting a good night’s sleep since; Thanks Griff).

Yeah, my life's just awful. I had to make the tough decsion today of what style Armani to but for this year's Kentucky Derby and I'm deciding between heading to Detroit for the Final Four or going to Cincinnati for Opening Day. In a time when many people are sadly losing their jobs and struggling to pay their bills, I'm a 38 year old guy who works when he wants to, not because he has to. I'll be marrying an utterly fabulous woman this summer. So, you can try your dimestore psychoanalysis on someone else. It failed miserably here.

After posting this I now lose all respect that I had for you...I am happy you are successful but don't broadcast it over a message board. Have fun at the derby:ermm:

I'd say my psychoanalysis allowed you to expose yourself as exactly what you are....

It's easy to see why your self-image doesn't match what others really think about you but are afraid or don't bother to say

Take a long look in the mirror tonight -- I mean, even longer than usual...:)

What did it expose? That your trite junior college night school psychoanalysis that all people who look at the world with a critical eye are angry is worthless bunk?

As for my self image, that's the only one that matters to me. The opinions of others are simply peripheral noise.

The problem isn't that I'm too harsh. It's that too many people are far too soft.

What would make you think I treat you any differently than anyone else around here?

Give hat credit, he is the equal opportunity ripper.

But he suffers fools and ignoramuses very little.

Congratulations. My parents will celebrate their 39th anniversary in April.

I'm sure you'll meet the future Mrs. at one of our VN gatherings.

Give us a break Hat, blathering about the fact that you have been given money so you do not have to work unless you choose too. BFD! I do not know you from Adam, but I do know and have been around people fortunate enough to have lots and lots of money and none of those folks would be bragging about that fact. Bottom line is that most people with money are educated and have class. Classy people do not talk about money and brag about their girlfriends looks.
Griff does a good job most of the time. My only problem with him is that it seems to me his relationships with the coaches tend to pepper his opinions and skew most of them towards the brighter side. I would have a hard time with the previous issue as well if I spent so much time around them. We can sit back and judge these guys from afar all we want, but all the coaches over on the hill even the past regime are incredibly charismatic in person and hard not to like. Writing critical pieces about someone you admire is not easy to do.
