The long pause was telling, of course...

But, I watched the JH Show today...and it was mostly routine...until they showed Joe's last pass into the end zone on 4th down...

Coach said, "Squirrel wasn't able to get away from the 'grab coverage'..."

No laugh, and Bob didn't even bite...
LOL...Subtle...Did anyone else hear it?

He has to stop being subtle. Take fines all day long. The **** is criminal
Sounds like a plan. Get into a pissing contest with the league officials who seemingly answer to no one. Ask Vitello how his run ins with the umpires along with his players worked out for him and the team. They're still being squeezed at the plate going on two years now. Besides, everyone saw it and knows what went down. The league office shrugs and continues on. Not a thing will happen and Heupel and our team draw even more bad calls no matter who we're playing.

Not Heupel's job. I'm sure he has someone at UT on it, but you don't want your Head Coach dealing with that. It would be like the CEO of a major corporation doing HR background checks.

Heupel (unlike some other previous UT coaches) seems very good at understanding what the job of a HC is and what it isn't.

The league officials answer to Saban, not no one

The SEC is the problem. They're the masterminds. Complaining them is complaining to the ones who wanted the bad calls. They want to protect Bama and Georgia at all costs, because they have the best chances at getting in the playoffs. They're the darlings. The SEC can't live not having a team in the CFP for the first time since its inception, the year before massive expansion happens. The SEC has to stay on top.

If he complains, the SEC will fine him.

I had Bammer fans watching the game with us and they were laughing their azz off over the officiating..Even they admitted the Vols probably would have won if the officiating had been even close to fair..I don't whine or cry when it's off maybe a little..But these officials were absolutely pathetic..Something needs to change but I have no answer for the solution..But pititful officiating seems to be an epidemic all over the SEC.....

Execute better especially in the red zone and don’t make dumb coaching decisions. Problem solved.

The most effective thing is publicizing these bad calls. I’ve seen a few people change their opinions once they saw the evidence. It would be a little boring, but, I wouldn’t mind if they would introduce the officiating crew so they can’t remain anonymous. Start attaching names to these performances. Are they ALL from Birmingham?

Yeah that certainly helps. But good luck beating Bama at Bama when they have 5 penalty yards for an entire game under any circumstance. I’m curious if that’s an SEC record for fewest yards in a game. Maybe they just that disciplined and played that clean of a game?

If the coaches in this league are not going to complain about officiating on Bama's home field then the cowards should just shut up about it and enjoy getting cheated out of opportunities to win at Bama. Sanki is not god. Is he not elected by the schools in the SEC ? can they not remove him if he is not doing his job ?

Just look at the picture to the left when you log on and you'll see the defender has his arm outside the area that should have been called holding on the defense. At least that's what it looks like to me.

I like Heupel as a coach, and I believe great things are ahead for Tennessee football. My criticism is going for it on fourth down in our own end of the field. Great if you make it, but sets the other team up for quick, easy scores if you don't make it. Our side of the 50, punt. And maybe surprise the defense with a quick slat or sideline toss.

Whoever is calling these plays obviously needs to use some wisdom.

Tennessee lost this game when they lost to Florida. The officials weren’t going to allow Bama to have a conference loss to Tennessee. They want to set up Bama vs Georgia in the conference title game. If Tennessee were undefeated it’s definitely more a decision on what’s best for the conference. Georgia unfortunately will be the same BS although it will be in neyland so I doubt the fix will be as obvious as it was in this one.

As far as the comments about Orange tinted glasses, other fans are pointing out the BS. Hell even media pundits that hate Tennessee are pointing out the officiating wasn’t right.

Having officials answer questions after the game from the media like players and coaches are required to do would go a long way as well. There is just simply no accountability for the officials. I can handle getting beat (I don't like it!!!) but not when the officials play that big of a part in it. I realize they are human and make mistakes but that was ridiculous. Players and coaches work extremely hard, fans spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on a weekend for all this to take place. It just a tough pill to swallow and it makes sports not as much fun to watch. I could maybe understand if we got the good end of officiating every so often but we couldn't even get calls again Austin Peay in Neyland. Let that sink in!!

There’s definitely something up with the officiating this year. Wouldn’t shock me if some of the refs were making some side money off games. Would shock me if anyone was this incompetent at their job and still employed.
