Cohen likely to cooperate with prosecution

I haven't commented on that. I think he says smart things but he's a shill. Pretend Trump is a Democrat....what's Levin saying right now?

He's criticized him over his rhetoric at Charlottesville and his tarrifs. Right now he's just offering a different opinion than the vast majority of the media. Which is fine. Doesn't mean he's a shill.

I like listening to him. He's seems like a really bright dude.

Dershoweitz is very caught up in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Wouldn't surprise me if Trump has him over a barrel.

I was thinking the same thing. I know there's a risk of sounding all Pizzagate to suggest such a thing, but it is, at least, based on some level of fact.

Cohen's plea deal is prosecutor's attempt to set up Trump

Here we go, from Russia with love to campaign finance with love.

Why was Michael Cohen investigated? Because the “Steele dossier” had him making secret trips to meet with Russians that never happened, so his business dealings got a thorough scrubbing and, in the process, he fell into the special counsel’s Manafort bin — the bin reserved for squeezing until the juice comes out. And now we are back to 1998 all over again, with presidents and presidential candidates covering up their alleged marital misdeeds and prosecutors trying to turn legal acts into illegal ones by inventing new crimes.

If he or anyone is involved in the Epstein stuff, they need to be hung up by their toenails and used as a pinata.

I have little doubt he's involved. Have you read up on it? It will change your perception of him forever. Or it should.

He banned Epstein from one of his clubs when it was brought to his attention that Epstein made a move on an underage girl. Bill Clinton, on the other hand, ditched his Secret Service detail to go on Epstein’s private jet on a trip to Lolita Island.

Yep. This stuff is all coming to a head in the near future.

Dershoweitz took several trips there according to flight logs. I know y'all don't care about facts though. The banning of Epstein was by Trump at Mar A Lago. You do know we're talking about Dersh and not Trump, right?

That's one side of the story, isn't it?

And it's not like Epstein was just some dude who showed up at Mar a Lago one day. There is plenty of history, if anyone is interested in looking.

So far, all the money in the world has come up short in trying to squash this.

Cohen Fingers Trump, Admits to Illegal Campaign Payment; Manafort Guilty on Eight Counts
...
Brad Smith, a former member of the Federal Election Commission (FEC), said he was reluctant to comment on Cohen’s plea because he does not know the details. But he told LifeZette that he continues to hold to his view that it is a stretch to call the payments related to McDougal and Daniels campaign expenses.

“I don’t think it fits the definition of campaign finance expenses,” he said.

Smith said the campaign finance laws are designed to regulate expenses that must be paid for and reported by political campaigns. That excludes personal expenses, he said. He added that the laws are just as important in guarding against misuse of campaign money.

“We don’t want candidates paying for personal things with their campaign funds,” he said.

Smith said that to make a case against a candidate, prosecutors would have to show that he made an expenditure solely for a campaign purpose. He said the FEC explicitly has rejected “mixed-use sorts of things” that might have dual purposes. For example, he said, a candidate does not have to report the purchase of a car with his personal funds even if he uses it to drive to campaign events.

“The flip side of calling it a campaign expense is to say that it has to be paid with campaign funds,” he said.

I don't think I want to know anymore. It's really sordid stuff. Clinton, Trump, Dershoweitz, Prince Andrew, and several others, all of them were entangled with Epstein.
